I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Margin Call...I got a call from a guy asking what he should do...Friday he bot BSC margined to the max...His broker sold him out around 3 bux and now wants almost $180 grand.
He asked me if he could get out of it by filing bankruptcy...Heck, I don't know...Anyone know?

I have no idea what the law says. But I do know what the Bible says, and I'd tell him to pay the bill. If things had turned out the other way, he'd want HIS $180 grand, wouldn't he?

Newborn...I don't think that's the answer he wants to hear and I don't think it is my place to sit in moral judgement of the poor guy....Anyway, I rather doubt that he can pay the bill...at least in the foreseeable future.

Many a landlubber knows-not
the sharpness o' th' Kraken's teeth,
and does nay have the wisdom
to keep a constant eye out
fer the hungry monstrous beast
See, the Kraken grow big,
and have jaws a full length o' a Scuttle,
and cold-blooded veins as thick as any scally wag,
they lurk in the green depths, hidden
until they hasten a broker's margin-call nag.
Thar be shipyard bosses
who rent out for coins,
those smart-lookin' vessels
with which leverage can turn 'em on a buoy,
but avast all assumption
that these boats threaten no tears,
especially to those skippered
by landlubbers wet behind th' ears.
Because if ye pass on insurance,
no cover 'gainst grief,
then ye jump from a coast guard's schooner,
into jaws of th' foul beast.
Such becomes unchangeable history,
fer those who've sailed in reckless abandon,
nay covered 'gainst skipper-error, foul luck,
trick, corruption, or villain.
Thar be naught consolation
fer landlubbers with cutlassed and bleedin' hands,
save fer knowin' that th' slimy great Krakens
are naught present on dry land.
So if ye lose an arm and a leg,
to the merciless squid,
next time consider
where to offer yer bid.
Bleedin' and drowning,
needin' t' holler and wail.
don't worry too much about yer voyage,
....at least ye lived t' tell the tale.
Geez Spike...I don't think he wants to hear that either...Actually, he is a friend of a friend who asked me if I would talk to him...I did...But I wasn't much help.
Got another one who bot last Novemebr in the 90's as a LTI...Fortunately they were not on margin...But I can't help them either.
I've made some bad moves in my time and some were pretty bad...But none were ever disasterous and I wouldn't allow that to happen to myself
