Where to start in the Stock Market?

I've recently taken an interest in the stock market but I have no idea how to actually invest. I know how to view stocks and when to buy/sell, I just need a secure way to start an investment account online. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Welcome, Bill. I started an account with Ameritrade a few years back and don't have any complaints against them. Their service is good, and the trading platform is simple and easy to use.

It does not offer access to all markets, however. If you just want to trade stocks from an IRA account, Ameritrade can do that. But if you want to trade futures or currencies, then you need another broker.

      Bill,

You're going to be getting some good bargains soon. I would stick with companies that make money year after year..quarter after quarter.

      Good luck!
