I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Mr. MArket, Huge Mr. Ernie,
I love those home builders, but they took a beating on Friday and I cleared the decks within the first hour. I love HOV and had DHI in the past and made a profit. IBD warned in it's Monday edition which comes out on Sat. that homebuilders as a group are "well extended above their proper buy points and that it would be unwise to try to buy any of them on the dips".
However, I think if we see heavy volume and accumulation, there could still be a lot of steam in the homebuilder industry, and it might be a time to get back in. I had a tremendous runup with WLS and I know you had it and made some profits also. OHB is another recent dynamo in this group to watch. HOV is probably the better of the two that you listed in your top five.
My best regards,
Jon
When you posted your previous top 5, ESMC was one of them and I bought it instead of the other one you selected.
It is now up 21% and I believe there is still plenty of upward mobility left on it. If I am not mistaken, they will announce earnings on the 14th and they have been increasing QTR earnings over the the last year.
Smokes and booze!!! Can't lose, drinking machine! Mr. Market missed the boat on this one plenty of room to party! Up big today, Some?
The booze cruise is in full swing.
In my quest for learning about this stock game, I'm curious as to your reasons for choosing DHI over HOV? Care to shed shome light onto your though process? Unfortunately, I'm no where near the financial guru that you are, so I'm wondering what i'm missing?

Anyone else have any insights?
There were a number of reasons but unfortunately I tossed the printout I had which listed the criteria and now I forget what they were.
