Here's 4 Oversold stocks I am buying at the market open today

Although there is no momentum in the market, $$$MR. MARKET$$$ has no fear. The tsunami which is this market fear, hedge funds unloading positions to get liquidity and general panic mode is creating great value opportunities. Many of these are very safe investments.

There are some GREAT buys out there..here are four of them. These are companies with very very low debt on their books...they can't fail unless their businesses disappear:

    OXPS:

    - Trading at $12.17 per share.
    - P/E of 7.56
    - Dividend Yield of 2.5%
    - doubled revenues and earnings in the last 3 years
    - optionsXpress Holdings, Inc. provides Internet-based options, stock, bond, mutual fund, and futures brokerage services to retail customers located in the United States and internationally. Its brokerage platform delivers various trading tools, which allow retail and professional investors to identify, analyze, and execute a range of investment strategies. Makes money in good times and bad.
    - profit margin 39%
    - return on equity 38%
    - return on assets 9%
    - Stock down 58% from 52 week high
    - Balance sheet: Total cash per share = $9 with zero debt. You're only paying $3.00 per share for the company..the rest is cash!

    LTC:

    - Trading at $15.02 per share
    - P/E of 11.71
    - Forward P/E of 7.62
    - Dividend yield of 10.3% !!
    - LTC Properties, Inc. operates as a health care real estate investment trust (REIT) in the United States. The company primarily invests in long-term care and other health care related properties through mortgage loans, property lease transactions, and other investments. As of December 31, 2007, it owned 61 skilled nursing properties with 7,179 beds; 84 assisted living properties with 3,744 units; and 1 school. As a REIT, the company is not subject to federal income tax to the extent it distributes 90% of taxable income to its shareholders. LTC Properties was founded in 1992 and is based in Westlake Village, California.
    - I know real estate is dicey..but this is nursing homes. Demand for these isn't going down.
    - Book value per share is $11.71. Less than $2.00 per share of debt on the books.
    - Debt / Equity ratio of 0.08..very low for a REIT
    - Stock down 48% from its 52 week high

    SAFT:

    - trading at $29.68 per share
    - revenue and income stream have been steady eddy for last 3 years
    - P/E of 6.35
    - Dividend of 5.00%
    - Safety Insurance Group, Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides private passenger automobile insurance in Massachusetts. It also offers property and casualty insurance products, including commercial automobile, homeowners, dwelling fire, umbrella, and business owner policies. The company was founded in 1979 and is based in Boston, Massachusetts. (Gotta have a shout out for my boys in Boston.)
    - Profit margin 11.5%
    - Return on equity 13.1%
    - Total cash per share $6.60
    - Zero debt...zero!
    - Book value per share $36.39...that's right, this stock is trading UNDER BOOK VALUE!
    - Stock price down 48% from its high..this stock is on SALE!

    PRPX:

    - Trading at $4.08 per share
    - P/E of 5.28
    - Dividend Yield of 5.20%
    - Portec Rail Products, Inc. manufactures, supplies, and distributes various railroad products in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. It operates in four divisions: Railway Maintenance Products (RMP), Shipping Systems, Portec Rail Nova Scotia Company (Canada), and Portec Rail Products (UK), Ltd. (United Kingdom). The RMP division provides track component and friction management products and services to railroads, transit systems, and railroad contractors; and wayside detection and operating asset data management systems. Its track component products include standard and insulated rail joints, gauge plates, track mats, curve blocks, and jacking systems; and friction modifiers. This division also distributes and resells purchased track components and lubricants manufactured by third parties. The Shipping Systems segment engineers and sells load securement systems and related products to the railroad freight car market. Its customers include railroads, railcar builders, railcar repair shops, and railcar lessors. The Canada division manufactures rail anchors and rail spikes, and assembles friction management products primarily for Canadian railroads. It also manufactures stick lubrication and application systems; and a liquid friction modifier, Keltrack. The United Kingdom division offers friction management and track component products and services to the United Kingdom passenger rail network. It also designs, manufactures, and sells material handling equipment, such as overhead and floor conveyors, racking systems, and mezzanine flooring systems used primarily in manufacturing, distribution, garment, and food industries. The company markets its products through a combination of direct sales force, third party sales representatives, agents, and distributors. Portec Rail Products was founded in 1906 and is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Choo - choo..love the railroad.
    - Operating margin 10.34%
    - Return on equity 12.2%
    - revenue and income have grown steadily over last few years
    - Stock is down 60% this year
    - Book value per share is $6.52....trading under book value!
    - There is debt on the balance sheet - common for an asset intensive company, but debt to equity ratio is only 0.28.
    - Words from the CEO: Mr. Jarosinski concluded, "Looking forward, we are closely monitoring current economic conditions and how this may impact our business. We will focus on business issues we can control to enhance our competitive position even in challenging economic times. We feel that there are opportunities in our markets for our products and services, and we will continue to selectively pursue strategic acquisitions. North American freight rail traffic is softening a bit but is still relatively strong while passenger ridership is at record levels in many locations. As a result, we are cautiously optimistic about the future despite the current economic uncertainty."

These 4 stocks make money, they are safe and they are cheap. I'll let you know what I bought them at today.

    What do you think?
