Webs.... I came in Janurary of 2004 so I've been here more than five years.... and have contributed hundreds ....NO.... THOUSANDS! of (meaningful) posts.... and I've missed the cut too.

It must really be nice to be deemed "special" and receive honorable mention by the HUGE one himself.... sigh!..... well.... I gotta go now and polish the marble Mr. Market statue in the VTP board room, before tomorrow morning's meeting....

Lye, didn't you lose your handle at one point a couple years back, and have Karel reinstate you with your old name again, after you re-registered? That could explain why you were left off the list...

The board went online on September 26, 2003. I am not sure what list $$$Mr. Market$$$ has used, but I guess he still has the old member list from Yahoo, which was used for the initial invites.

Likewise, I had never been on a forum previous to this one, either. This forum was the only good thing I got off of a six month subscription to IBD.

How did IBD lead to Mr.Market? Was it through the IBD forums? Maybe that's what happened with me but who referred us or made mention of Mr.Market? I can't remember. But I can remember 50 years ago when an old farmer neighbor had a permanent tobaccy spit stain down the side of his '57 Dodge Coronet.

I found MM on the IBD when I read some of his comments on the forum, and Google searched and found him. I've never seen any tobacco spit dripping down the front of his shirt in any pictures he has posted. And since I've never met him personally, I didn't know that was how to find him. Down in KY, tobacco spit is fairly common. It must be fairly rare in New England.

Nope Jiesen, that wasn't me, I've always been Lyehopper.... I'm sure that was "ThomRich" who lost his password and later came back as "Tfred".

Thom is still around and posts over at Spike's place (about 10,000 times per week) LOL! ... Thom's from Chicago and is a trained auto technician and body builder (his Avatar now is Godzilla's face).... He's a very smart and analytical guy but I tell him that he thinks WAY too much sometimes.

Thom has invented a trading indicator he calls "I-50" (Impulse 50%).... It seems to work too. The VTP is seriously considering allowing him entry into the inner circle....

Ah yes...IBD. That's how I found the Huge one! I have now built an altar in my home, with the likeness of Mr Market... It gives me inspiration and hope....that...maybe...one day..I can be as huge as Mr Market.

I was invited by the huge one to begin posting here after I made a few Yahoo! Message Board posts on FRGB pre-split, trading around 90 bucks... post split, it is now about $1... I think he made 15% on it. I've forgotten whether I gained or lost money from my trade in it.

That was back in early 2006. 3 years have flown by... anyone remember when?
