    After hours Trading

Does anyone know how after hours trading works? Does it show us anything for the next day? I bought AZK and it's up today over 9% but it's down almost 3% in after hours trading.
    Thanks for any lessons,
    Steelman

        Steelman,
Afterhours trading can result in big price swings, but often the opening price next day is little changed. It's probably valuable if you anticipate a big drop or gap up as result of afterhours earnings release or news. Sometimes a stock will react opposite to what you might think, so it can be dangerous trading afterhours. Also, very thin trading can cause abnormal price swings. Always protect yourself with limit orders and not market orders during extended hours or pre market trading hours.
