Caught some of ELN this morn.

BTW: Just saw this...March 04, 2005 1:37:00 PM ET Trading Call of the Week - ThinkEquity's Coleman, who now likes WITS (WITS) 18.68 +0.16: It took software wonk Peter Coleman of ThinkEquity just a few minutes early Monday morning to make the stock call that held up as the best any sell-side analyst made all week, as far as we're concerned. Coleman wins this week's Briefing.com Trading Call of the Week for telling us that JDA Software (JDAS) shares would run hard and fast as a secondary play in the retail software group after SAP announced plans to buy Retek (RETK). Traders who made it to work on time and listened to Coleman's advice scored as much as a 14% gain on JDAS shares in about two hours. (See Monday's comment in the Archive at 9:51 a.m.) So, we had to ask Coleman which software stock he's eyeing next. He came back to us with Witness Systems (WITS), maker of software companies use to capture customer contact data and to optimize workforce performance. For Coleman's comments on WITS

IIC, pertaining to the MOMO lists you post, is there a way to play these stocks? I mean, just because a stock has a runup one day it doesn't mean it will continue to do the next. I was just wondering and I any feedback would help.

                    Thanks

I am particularly interested in the one's that recently pulled back and still are in the top 5% of my RS database...then if they make a move on vol they show up. The criteria is Top 5% of my RS database, up at least 2% on at least 1.5x ADV.

Many are extended...I don't even look at those myself. I further look at how the group they are in is doing. I really don't find that many that I like...but it takes me less than 1 min to run the scan and then a few mins to scan the charts. After that I may only have a couple that I really want to check out. I used to pick some I liked to see if they would pullback in the near future...but that is time consuming and I don't do that too much anymore.

I know different people use the list different ways...but I am not sure how. Actually I run a lot of different scans for my personal use. After I run my scans, then I do my DD and set up my watchlists. I will never even come close to buying the majority even on my refined lists...but I can watch them and since I am at least somewhat familiar with them by that time, I can buy at the point I am waiting for...if it happens AND if I happen to be at the computer if it does happen.

My favorite scan is the recent new high pullbacks...but I never post it because rather than do today's after market one's...I prefer to do it during the first half hour or so after the market opens...and there is no time to post them because I am looking at so many charts.

Since I'm pretty busy lately I have pretty much put my news play daytrades on hiatus.

Well, I missed the whole market day...now I see IBD has the Naz close at 2065 and the rest of the world has it at 2061 including the Nasdaq itself...Anyway, I ran my scan with each...the only difference would be first level resistance which is 2063 or 2066(if I input IBD's fig.) Geez, I pay these people over a grand a year...I would expect that they could get the Naz close right.

The Naz closed at last night's quoted Strong Support...which I quoted at 2062-2065...The Q's closed 3 cents below Medium Support...Tomorrow should be interesting.
