Just a few minor changes...For those that see me on the Chats, you know I was obviously wrong on calling 1990 the day's bottom early on...After I went to work I got defensive...Bot WTR...Can't get more defensive than that...I couldn't find an "Air" Sector/Group...LOL...But I am still a mildly optimistic since Support held...even on the Q's

That list is seriously shrinking. I wonder how short it would get before it becomes contrarian?

Yeah...I'm wondering too. I've been running this daily scan for well over a year. So far, the past 2 days have been the shortest in memory. However, sometime last summer I changed the parameters a little bit. Here are little charts on the MoMos:
                        http://stockcharts.com/candleglance/?TALx,CITP,TKTX,BRN,CWCO,HWK,ANX,MAIN|C|J[$SPX]7

BTW: there are lower levels of support...I just didn't post them because I didn't think we would go this low...next level under 1899 would be 1867-1877 according to my scan.

Thanks for that Doug. That would be another 30-40 pts downside. Is the support pretty strong there?

I had a losing week in my short term account...but it wasn't too damaging. I am trading on the premise that no matter what the market is doing...there is always something moving. Have not had the opportunity to try this out on such bad days until this past week. But it has proved true overall for the past few months at least on my end. The reason I switched to this is because the market was so Blah...I got tired of waiting for market direction.

Yesterday, there were only 4 IBD groups up out of 197. 3 were Medical groups and the other one was Water Utilities. For the week...the following DJ Indices were all up:

                              DJ US Pharmaceuticals Index 3.26%
DJ US Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnolo... 3.17%
                              DJ US Biotechnology Index 2.86%
DJ US Aerospace & Defense Index 2.44%
                              DJ US Water Index 2.18%
DJ US Health Care Index 1.18%
DJ US Medical Supplies Index 0.87%
DJ US Soft Drinks Index 0.71%

Here is a little tidbit that may be just another indicator that people are throwing in the towel:

At my site, the "average daily unique" visitors increased 5% in February vs prior month. In March it was +18%. In April it stands at -28%. Also, the "page views" for last weekend's report is the lowest since I started on October 9th. In fact it is 19% lower than the previous week low which was January 30th. There will end up being some more views but not that many. Just thought that was interesting...IIC
