Well...I guess I should enroll in "Remedial How To Call The Market 101"...I've been calling for a correction for weeks...and it just has not happened...Not predicting a crash or anything...Just a Healthy pullback...But for my trading it really does not matter too much what the market is doing unless it is flying in either direction.

I have done well on the Daytrades this year...but some week's I've just squeaked by...Last week was very good.

Anyway, today I made a major screwup...tried to call the bottom early on CUTR...lost a buck a sh...But the good thing is that I didn't get all frazzled...Went in and made some on MYOG and did good on RNAI...Was still Red for the day...But it is very important to not lose your cool when you make the inevitable screw up....I think the key is to not screw up too often...and when you do...just get back to plan...Doug(IIC)

                    Did you notice?

                    Doug,
LWAY and ESMC have come back like a house afire. It only took them about 15 months once IBD got through with them. And no, they are not all the way back; they just are headed the right direction.

I know we have talked a lot about IBD lately...the letters and lawsuits aside...And my opinion about their marketing practices and pricing..I grew up on MoMo and then CS...I really don't think it is a bad system...But I do think it is archaic.

Here is a copy of a post I posted at another forum this evening:

It appears to me as an investor who learned Canslim in the '70's and grew up long before that with a Growth Stock mentality that whoever is running the show at that outfit has lost it.

I called for changes in the CS theory over 5 years ago...But I didn't mean throw it out the window and grasp for straws...Too Bad...But IMO just because some Stock Guru did well in the past doesn't mean they will do well in the future...Look at the dinosaurs...They apparently ruled the world for a long time...What happened to them???...They did not adapt.

I re-read the 24 Whatever book the last couple of days...Is that now a joke?...IIC

What's changed is the Internet. Jessie Livermore never traded on the 'net. Add to that the fact that he eschewed charting, and he probably couldn't outtrade me in this environment.

I am not aware of any lawsuits vs. IBD, you, Webs. I did see that Webs said he got a warning letter from them. But hey, them stinkin' Vulcans never did take a regular bath

That's okay, Webs, because I'm taking a bath in KBH

I was not talking about Webs or probably anyone else you ever heard of...I know A LOT of people...I hear A LOT of things...And yes, I am a busybody...But I can keep confidentialities...Never a problem...But then again...I'm 52...So I've had more time than most around here to meet so many people I guess. IBD is on a legal Warpath...Why??? I have my opinion as to why...But who cares what I think?

                                Real Estate Market

                                Hello IIC,

I saw your comment on BMHC thread about real estate market. My gut feeling is that there are some areas in USA were housing prices have appreciated way too much. I hae been trying to figure out what might be a best play in anticipation of correction in local real estate market. One that I can think of is bying 2006 PUTS for housing stocks. Any idea as to what might be other good play?

Thanks in advance for your suggestion.

                                Best Regards,
                                Stocks.
