Newbie here. You may have explained this before, but what is a blind horse setup and how is it traded?

Very nice! Your efforts are appreciated. I'm going to spend a bit of time looking at each of these. I would love if someone could give their insight on any of these indices. Does anything particularily stand out to you?

BTW, ringo.... let me support your question: What exactly is a blind horse setup? I tried googling the phrase to no avail. I did learn a few things about guide horses! Tiny little fellas....

Blind Horse Setup: A setup that is so obvious that even a blind horse could see it.

                    I made the term up.

Hard to explain exactly since the setups are not identical. But normally, I run realtime scans based on several different technical criteria...but I am mainly looking for price/volume action. I prefer those that are approaching new highs but it is not absolutely necessary. I also prefer pullbacks on lower volume as well as those that try to test 5 min resistance more than once. But, 5 min resistance can be pretty subjective. Sorry I can't be more descriptive.

As far as the Killer Watch Lists...they are just that...They are not recommendations. I scan for them in different ways...some scans include some fundamentals and some don't. Some include Relative Strength(RS). Once I've run my scans I look at each chart with a few technicals...Unlike my MoMo(Momentum) lists which are purely mechanical(Top 5% of my RS database of 5500 stocks that close up at least 2% on at least 1.5x ADV)...I make a subjective decision whether or not to include a stock on the Killer Watch List.

You may notice that all do not have the same chart "look"...Some had pulled back and are starting to reverse up on volume(my faves if they are a good stock anyway)...some could be lo vol short flat bases, some could be recent breakouts that I think still have more steam....I also use recent group strength in some cases.

                    Thanks for asking...Best, Doug(IIC)

Also, I have a lot of my own indices(or groups)...over 100... set up so I can scan for movement and see who is leading. Some I have converted to real time...some I have not. It helps to see what the news is too...For example, before the Oil Supply report I was watching my Oil Index...when the news came out there was a lot of movement...So I basically knew what the news was as it was announced...I believe it came across the Dow Jones Newswire 3 minutes later.

Also did that with the Gas Supply report although I just use the AMEX Natural Gas Index for that.

If I could find a service that would give me realtime groups by "unweighted" price movement I wouldn't have had to go to all the trouble of doing this myself...along with the help of my computer programmer...Of course, he is not free...But well worth the dollars spent...IIC

That's very interesting. Do you keep track a longer term sector rotation, like 3 month to one year?

Seems I have to see it, otherwise what's differece between a blind horse and a mouse.

Seriously, thanks for all the explaining.
