How the heck was I supposed to know this would happen:

COLUMBIA, Md.--Martek Biosciences Corp. (MATK) expects third-quarter revenue to be down by $5 million to $10 million because of a fire incident at a DSM facility.

A year earlier, the company posted revenue of $29.1 million.

In a press release Monday, Martek said the fire occurred Sunday at a Belvidere, N.J., manufacturing plant, and affected the production of the nutritional fatty acid ARA, or arachidonic acid. On its Web site, Martek said it has patented the blending of DHA, docosahexaenoic acid, and ARA oils as Formulaid, selling it primarily for use in infant formulas.

DSM, which makes ARA, is still evaluating the damage and said the shutdown could last for weeks.

Shares of Martek resumed trading at $65.80, down $4.51, or 6.8%, after being halted earlier on Nasdaq at $69.63.

I like BETA, ISSC and some others...but as you have noticed I have not been trading much lately...did add some HANS in the 19's so my avg buy on it is in the low 17's now. Still waiting for WITS to move.

Part of it is the market...but most of it has been my job...quite a bit of being on the road during mkt hours...Also, one of the Managers that works for me is on disabilty and so is one of his assistants. I'm also working on a couple of outside projects...so I'm pretty busy, but I'm around...Best, IIC
