    IIC,

Thanks for the great information. I wouldn't want you on my case if I were in IBD's shoes. They should hire you as an advisor and take some of your advice for their own good.

Guess I had high hopes for the new IBD changes...they were not exactly what I expected...check out Monday's paper.

BTW...I've also heard that they will be enhancing DGO this summer...not sure what they will be though...IIC

Oh yeah...Now they are pumping stocks under $10...I'll take that as an admission that strict Canslim doesn't work....I think I will switch to their new theory..."The Needle In A Haystack" approach...LOL

I can't believe I sold FORD for around $9 AFTER A 20% GAIN, and think I sold way the hell too soon

Mr. Breakout is updated if you'd like to take a look. In the Site Watch Section of this weekend's report I have an interesting site where you can actually see a photo of your own house on the Net. Guess you can't hide out from anyone anymore...LOL

              Thanks, Doug(IIC)

Doug, do you use a program when you scan for your chart patterns for your site (e.g. cwh)? I'm trying to find one that will look for triangles, flags, etc.. Thanks

Speaking of IBD...It is not that I don't like them or their info...I just think that they are gouging people who want to follow Canslim with all these little add-ons and seminars. But business is business and they have every right to charge what they want.

But their pricing structure sure seems strange to me...Let's compare it to The Wall Street Journal and Barron's. Now, I don't read WSJ because it doesn't have the info I want. It is interesting to read their articles...but I have to budget my time. I do like to read Barron's though.

Pre-Internet which was 1997 for me I used to spend a lot of time at the UCLA Biz library and the Beverly Hills City Library because they are close by and they have a lot of good biz pubs. I occasionally visited the Main LA City Library downtown too. I liked to read Barron's among other pubs there.

A few months ago I started receiving all these magazines that I didn't order, in the mail...Most were women's mags but Barron's was the first one...I thought maybe Barron's was comping me like TA of S & C was. But after a while my wife admitted that she signed me up for all this stuff with my unused AMR mileage that was expiring (I usually fly Southwest).

So I got used to reading Barron's because it came on Saturday's...but lately my regular mail delivery guy has been taking Saturday's off...How much vacation does he get???...And it has been coming on Monday's which means I will never look at it.

So, yesterday after the sub delivered a bunch of junk mail...I went online to see about getting Barron's Online...Geez, the cover price is $4 or $208yr...but online, if you are a print subscriber to either Barron's or WSJ it is only $39yr....plus you get WSJ "AND" Barron's Online for that price...great deal(although I prefer the Barron's print)...Even if you are not a print subscriber...it is only $79yr.

Obviously, I will continue my IBD and DGO subs because I want their info...But the price difference is pretty amazing to me.

BTW: If you live in L.A. you can go to the UCLA biz library and look at the Institutional version of Dailygraphs...It is called the O'Neil Database...It has 2x as much info as DailyGraphs charts and the price is well over $100k yr for the weekly. At UCLA they only get it 1x a month. At the Beverly Hills Library they had the print of DailyGraphs...I used to look at the NYSE book there because I dropped that one in the 80's(They have a separate one for the Naz/Amex) and at the LA City Library they had the WON Options Guide...But it's been a while since I went to the latter two.

                  Later...IIC

I knew someone would ask that. I don't mind giving out 99% of the ways I find things...But I am going to refrain from divulging how I get the CwH's, my RS Database and EPS Figures/Projections....It took me over 5 years to come up with a CwH screener...Sorry.

As far as other patterns...check Stockcharts.com...Doug(IIC)

                    • I am working on adding scans for triangle, pennants, flags, etc. I am slowly getting there, it just a time factor between my massive stock market load and recoding my scanning system. I might just pay another that I know to start doing these for me, but it does take some testing to get the scans to be as efficient as possible. I hope by the end of the summer I will have many more if not by the end of the year.
