    An Economic Meltdown?

Joe Meyer , an economic analyst, had some dire predictions on the Coast to Coast Am radio show which aired on 9/26/09. According to a "free" news post sent out from www.coasttocoastam.com Joe Meyer made the following predictions.....will he be correct? .....who knows ?......but he did make a good point about accumulating metals especially silver!

"In the first hour, financial advisor Joe Meyer provided an update on the current (and future) economic meltdown. Meyer believes the rally in the stock market will end soon. The Dow Jones Industrial Average, which closed at 9665 on Friday, will go back down to 6470, he said. If that number gets violated, Meyer warned, the next stop could be 4123 and possibly even 2450 as a final panic bottom.

He predicted a second wave of home mortgage defaults when rates reset in 2010 and 2011. Meyer said the next bubble to burst will be commercial real estate, which he anticipates will crash harder than the residential market. A projected 125,000 retail stores are expected to close in 2009 alone, he added, leading to even more bank defaults and further job losses.

Meyer pointed out that 10 states have unemployment rates above 10%, but thinks the true number is much higher, around 16-17%. He suggested setting up programs to put people to work in the public works sector, building and improving roads, bridges, ports, and other infrastructure. Meyer also talked about the end of the U.S. Dollar as a world reserve currency, the commodities bull market, and his recommendation that people buy precious metals, such as silver."

scary outlook pete but in reality i have to agree with him. i see nothing out there which can make me discount the fact that there are a tremendous amount of people unemployed without any near term solution in sight. the government is printing money like there is no tomorrow and if it keeps up there won't be one. plus we're dumping money, which we don't have, down two black holes in Iraq and Afganistan which are never going to give back a positive return. i think we are going to see alot of unrest from the general population in the future if our government doesn't get a grip on the situation and provide some real non-partisan leadership and stop trying to bs us.

Ski I afgree both Afghanistan and Iraq are two "Wasted Wars" . The good soldiers in those areas are subjected to political correctness and politics, and THAT IS NO WAY TO WIN A WAR! Can you imagine prisoners captured in the wars must be read their Miranda rights, and the troops cannot engage the enemy if civilians are around ....WTF they are like sitting ducks just waiting to die....ridculous!
My solution would be to Pull out all troops and bring them back to the US to enforce our own borders thereby saving tons of money for infrastructure projects and healthcare.
Then bomb all the poppy fields in Afghanistan so that the money gained by the taliban could not be used to finance terrorism
Finally limited nuclear surgical strikes to wipe out all the rats in the Pakistan valley.
Yes serious and controversial moves .....but definitely more effective then the BS going on now!

In my opinion, a president should be required to have served in the military. Why do we have a commander in chief who has never served??? Makes no sense to me.

Myself and a few others are currently organizing a local "tea party". It's time we started taking action.

I think they should be able to improvise on an instrument over Coltrane's "Giant Steps".

absolutely webs. this is our country. a prerequisite should be having served in the military, not necessarily in combat but in the service of their country, just to get an idea of what these guys they are sending out to give their lives have to endure. we elected a bozo to the most important and powerful job on the planet. a junior senator without any experience. another hollywood actor and cohort of oprah's. makes me want to puke.
