3 best gold coins to buy now!

Confused about what GOLD coins to buy right now......I found this article to be extremely helpful. Anyone know of 3 BETTER coins, or your BEST, "Honest" coin dealer?

    Peter,

Here's a good gold stock that you might want to take a look at, EGO El Dorado Gold. It's valued at $50 a share. Great fundamentals and the industry is good right now. Take a look, let me know what you think.

      Peter,
There are a lot of gold coins and maybe even more forms of silver out there. I'd go with the ones that are most liquid and accepted for their stated value without question. Some friends have many ounces of silver that they can't get rid of since nobody has ever heard of the smelter and who knows what's really inside those ingots?

Check out http://www.goldwhy.com for some nicely written articles.

As far as bullion goes, I especially like the Market Harmony stuff... This is their website: http://marketharmony.net

coins are really the best way to go with gold. the newly minted St. Augusten's 1 oz. double eagle that came out this year is going to be a big winner. you kind of missed the boat though if you haven't bought any of them yet because when they first came out back in Feb. 2009 gold was at 980-990 range and you could buy the coin in the $1225 range. but with the price of gold over $1000 now that particular coin and most others have appreciated by a few hundred dollars. i would stay away from gold stocks and etf's right now as they are at a premium right now with the price of gold as high as it is.
one avenue i have been persuing is going to yard sales, estate sales, and flea markets and buying any gold that we can find where the owners aren't up to date on it's present price and value. but it has become harder to find those situations.

              Ski,

When you are able to find gold at the places you mention, where do you sell to make your money?

I have an outlet to anyone with junk gold, silver, platinum, palladium, etc. You can send it directly to a refinery and get paid fair pricing... better than any coin shop or "cash for gold" type places.

                  steel,
first of all my wife and i are scavengers in the sense that we are antique and artifact collectors. my wife spends two or three days aweek going to estate sales looking for specific items like old pictures, books, and jewelry. she does quite well at it reselling her finds to various dealers she has come to know thru her travels and is now doing business with them. i go with her whenever i have the time. a couple of years ago i mentioned to her that i wanted to start accumulating anything that was 14 karat or higher gold content. we have accumulated a decent amount of gold and as of this date have not sold back any of it and i'm not sure how i am going to go about getting rid of it or when. we try to buy low and of course want to sell as high as we can in an unreportable situation if we can so it remains to be seen as how we are going to accompolish that. we have also been doing the same thing with silver over the past couple of years.

would that transaction have to take place thru you or would i deal directly with the refinery. and is the refinery located in the pittsburg area?

You can deal with me or the refinery. The settlement is within 2 weeks from the day of receipt (probably faster if you go through me). And yes, they are located in the Pittsburgh area.

                        Peanuts,
My friend paid a premium for his silver bars and expects to sell for a premium above silver value. I'm not going to try and convince him otherwise. He'll be holding them for a long while I'd wager.

Then your friend has to sell it to another investor/collector. No refinery, coin shop, jeweler, etc. will ever pay a premium. How much of a premium did your friend pay, and where did he get it?

                            Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh. My company is based there. We lived there back in 2006. I usually have to go there 2-3 times a year. I live in Denver however, I did take the Steelers tonight covering 3.
