Apple Says Jobs Is Taking a New Medical Leave
    By THE NEW YORK TIMES
    Published: January 17, 2011

Steven P. Jobs, the co-founder and chief executive of Apple Inc., told his staff on Monday that he was taking a medical leave of absence, a year and a half after his return from a liver transplant.

“At my request, the board of directors has granted me a medical leave of absence so I can focus on my health,” he said in a statement to the Apple staff released by the company. “I will continue as C.E.O. and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company.”

The statement continued: “I have asked Tim Cook to be responsible for all of Apple’s day to day operations. I have great confidence that Tim and the rest of the executive management team will do a terrific job executing the exciting plans we have in place for 2011. I love Apple so much and hope to be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, my family and I would deeply appreciate respect for our privacy.”

Apple’s stock immediately dipped on foreign exchanges.

Investools currently shows a projected price of $592. So maybe somewhere between that and $1000???

    Pete,
I also saw the $1000 number. Don't know if it was from the same source. I still don't have a target on this as it keeps hitting mini targets then advances on more good news.

    Apple ......AAPL SWEET!

A pundit on the web recently stated that APPLE will reach $1,000 per share . Tuck AAPL into a Roth ira for your child ......and someday that kid will be happy as a pig in Shi*!
Have ya ever passed by an APPLE store ......unbelievable , you would think Jim Jones is passing out the Kool Aid in there LOL
I have observed Apple stores in Williowbrook Mall Wayne NJ , and Short Hills NJ, Both stores packed ......Unfortunately in Willowbrook some Mutants utilized the 5 finger discount recently pilfering about 12 IPads from the store ....so much for the clients in that Mall! .
The contrasting Short Hills Mall has Bentleys on the floors for shoppers to see .. In Willowborok the Wheels would probably disappear.
