Last week GOOG gained 5.29%. So much for George Costanza's philosophy.
I'll pick GOOG long this week because it's reporting on Thursday and because I still think it's undervalued.
GOOG is expected to grow 20% in fiscal year 2010 and 13% in fiscal year 2011, and look at today's price for that growth:
Currently
P/E = 467.49/24.80 = 18.9
If GOOG meets 6.53 quarterly estimate
P/E = 467.49/26.20 = 17.8
Also, I don't think the recent China deal is factored into those future earnings figures.
On another topic: Hey! Where's Karel been?

Congrats to this week's winners, Peanuts, Gary611, and Steelman !!
Peanuts snags the Gold medal this week off of VMW, making this 10th medal for the year. He's catching up to Wooish who currently has 12, nice job !
VMware, Inc.is a provider of virtualization solutions from the desktop to the data center. The Company’s suite of virtualization solutions addresses a range of information technology (IT) problems that include cost and operational inefficiencies, business continuity, software lifecycle management and desktop management.
Gary611 takes the Silver going long on troubled C, just as the stock is hitting it's resistance line. Well done ! Could this be C's 4th time attempting the $5 mark in the past year? ? Could be a good stock to trade....
Citigroup Inc. (Citigroup) is a global diversified financial services holding company. The Company provides consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with a range of financial products and services. As of December 31, 2009, Citigroup had approximately 200 million customer accounts and did business in more than 140 countries.
Steelman jumps in on EL for the Bronze medal just in time to snag a solid 4% ! I have to say, fundamentals aside, this stock has done great this past year and looks to have pulled back. Could also be another to follow these next few months...
The Estee Lauder Companies Inc. is a manufacturer and marketer of skin care, makeup, fragrance and hair care products. Its products are sold in over 140 countries and territories under the brand names, which include Estee Lauder, Aramis, Clinique, Origins, MzAzC, Bobbi Brown, La Mer and Aveda.
Congrats to the winners ! We're still down pretty much as a group, but we still have another half of the year to go, time to make back our losses
Good luck next week !

My instinct tells me go with GOOG again this week. I do think it is way oversold. But George Costanza showed how doing the exact opposite of what your instinct tells you to do will result in good things.
Therefore I will take the LOW road this week and go with LOW long. Thanks, Ody.

JohnHenry wins the week ! Congrats ! He was the only one to come out positive, and therefore the only one to grab a Gold medal this week. Short was clearly the right way to go. After losing a little on BAC, he followed the Bear and shorted RIMM, well done !

Through the development of integrated hardware, software and services that support multiple wireless network standards, RIM provides platforms and solutions for seamless access to time-sensitive information, including e-mail, phone, short message service (SMS), Internet and intranet-based applications
