Anyone follow SOMX here? I'm not very optimistic at this point about getting silenor approved, but looking back at the charts, this stock seems to always draw interest around FDA meetings, and approval dates. I wouldn't be surprised to see this thing get pumped up a bit leading up to the January 20th meeting with the FDA. Could be a nice little money maker. It would take some real courage to hold through the news though. And of course, it could end up dropping to around $1/share with even the slightest negative news anytime before the meeting, and much lower after the meeting.

No revenues or earnings so not my kind of stock. Doesn't mean the stock won't go up in price. Good luck.

I follow it- sort of. But really, insomnia? Who cares about that... if I can't sleep I'd just rather post some random stuff on the intarwebs than pop pills.

The insomnia route's well worn and tough to make a go of, business-wise (look at NBIX for example). If you want a $1 biotech, try XOMA instead. This puppy is going for around $0.6 when it's worth a buck- and as a bonus it's currently profitable. Steve Engle used to be my boss, and I know that if anyone can, he'll bring this one back around from 0.6 to $6. He IS the real deal in drug development (for actual diseases).

You gotta admit that was a good (and gutsy) call on SOMX, since the approval happened after all... I still wouldn't buy it now, though.

It would have been a double if anyone had bought it here (and could have been a 10 bagger if anyone knew when to get out). Nice find.
