Any IT or Voip people in here?

Since everyone here seems intelligent, I would like your opinion. I recently bought this phone routing Voip box made my Cisco, where you get paid on the phone traffic that travels through it. The video explains it as, owning a telephone pole in your backyard and getting paid by the phone companies when they route calls through your wire.

I don't know enough about IT, interexcahnge, routing, etc. Would anyone mind watching this video and giving me your honest opinion if it will work? I sent this to our IT guy at work but have not heard back from him. I have a VOIP phone at work, so it makes a little sense.

    Just looking for some feedback.
    Thanks,
    Steelman

    MLM, stay away!

First of all, I have over 35 years of Telecommunications experience. I went to the site thru the link & read all of the info, watched the video & this is how I figure it works.
The only way this can work is that it uses your 'land-line' to route calls from the cable router; while your existing phone number is used by you for outgoing calls only via the provided router. You get paid for each call that comes in to your router, then out thru your 'land-line' to your local area.(LATA)
The real $$ you make is by getting people to buy more routers, NOT by the calls thru the routers. If you route 300 calls a month thru your router & it pays you 5 cents per call, that is $15.00. The cost of your unlimited landline, is about 20 a month. So, net gain is only about 5 bucks from its' use. BUT, if you get other people to buy into it, you make $$ up front, MLM, plain & simple! Good Luck to you & I hope this helped.

Thanks Gary! I really appreciate it. That's sort of what I was told and what I was hoping to hear. I just want to make sure this is possible.

I had to activate a 2nd dedicated land line. This was $12 a month. VoiParty said, they would route calls to my IP address through the network cable into "the box" and then it would go out of "the box" through the local land line making it a free local call. The said it would terminate 300 minutes a day on average and each box in the network would generate about $35. Once the network fills in, you get a 3-6% kick back on each box in your network.

I was looking for some confirmation that I am not throwing my money away. Thank you for giving me your honest opinion. I mean, if it doesn't work, I am only out $287, but if it does as advertised, their comp plan shows some making 20, 50, even a 100k a month. I don't think I got in that early, but it seems like 5k-10 k a month, passive and residual is what most will see. I know Cisco Linksys is making the boxes and they are on back order. It took 6 weeks to get mine. Did you watch the 2nd video under "watch more?" It goes into more detail. Anyway, after hearing your opinion I feel good about the purchase.

      Thanks,
      Steelman

Gary, it's official. This is legit. I received 2 checks in the mail yesterday from the company! WHEW!! I went to the bank today and deposited them both! Looks like this is good to go as long as people still use cell phones and land lines. They only totaled a couple hundred bucks, but...every month as the network grows, the checks get bigger.

You guys should take a look. It's mailbox money.
