    Dr. Stephen Hawking

Also called "The Adventures of Riverbabe"

Okay, so I came up here to my home in Canada, Waterloo Ontario, for the funeral today of one of my favorite uncles, an emeritus history professor at a University here. And I learned, over a couple of drinks, from my brother that RIM (RIMM, home Waterloo) sponsors a great scientist series and that the REAL STEPHEN HAWKING is HERE!!! He is sleeping only a mile or two from where I am sleeping!!!

So, faced with that unimaginable fact, what would you do??? Try to meet him,of course! And that is precisely what I plan to do tomorrow before driving back to Cleveland. Wish me luck, me friends. It would be the dream of a lifetime for me. To be continued...

Rather than dreaming of quantum physics, he'll be dreaming of you from that day on.

Ask him when he expects us to have flying cars... I thought we were supposed to have those by now
          Hide not your talents.
          They for use were made.

                  Continued!

Well, maybe an A for effort! I found the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics amid all the construction that is doubling its size. The nice young man at the reception desk told me that Professor Hawking is (in the building) doing private research this summer for as long as his fragile health allows it.

Somehow, I just couldn't be brazen enough to interrupt his private research. I mean, could you? I mean jeez loueez. But I was in the same building, breathing the same air (although I suspect his air is much more oxygen-enriched). Absolutely amazing place. Thanks to Mike Lazaridis, founder and Co-CEO of RIM who donated $150 million to "launch and advance the organization" (he is currently Chair of the Board of Directors) and also donated $100 million "to develop the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo." The Director of the Perimeter Institute is Dr. Neil Turok who "has made key contributions to several areas of theoretical physics and cosmology with collaborators that include Stephen Hawking and Paul Steinhardt."

This is the link to the home page: http://www.perimeterinstitute.ca/

This link is to the Hawking events:

Wish we could get (in the US) the Canadian TVO reruns of his lecture on June 20.

                    billions and billions

check out this video of the Hubble Ultra Deep Field, in 3D... The universe is HUGE!!!

What happens when you point the Hubble Space Telescope to a seemingly blank patch of sky? A view that takes you to the edge of the universe!

Jiesen, there are no words to describe this. Just imagine people like Hawking who can wrap their intellect around it. Leaves me utterly helpless. Thank you thank you for bringing this here.

SUPER...I never heard of him...Of course I blocked aplusk from following me on Twitter 'cause I thot Ashton Kutcher was a porno guy...And if Marc Columbo (Dallas Cowboys) hadn't told me who Justin Bieber was I'd still be in LaLa Land...

So I Googled him...He established the Pathway of Devotional Nonduality.

Geez...I don't think I have that problem...Although, maybe I do since I have no idea what it is???

If they don't sing Country or don't pick stocks...I dunno who they are...BTW, my wife won tix to see Leann Rimes
She was also in the 5 finalists for a free trip to the Bahamas for Carrie Underwood...But she didn't come thru and win 4 me

Perhaps a little known fact, Hawking is believed to have lived longer (47 years) with ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrigs' disease, than any other victim. Ironically, Gehrig, one of the strongest baseball players of all time, died about 3 years after first developing symptoms.
