    Canadian Small Caps

Commissions are included in my number. My only other real expense is my subscription to Globeinvestor Gold, everything else that I use for information is free. I guess my style is relatively aggressive. I tend to focus on junior resource companies. Right now I'm heavily into silver, gold, coal and potash. If you're interested, have a look at Great Panther Resources, Allana Potash and Prophecy Coal. Some huge gains possible in my opinion but do your own due diligence as they say. Cheers!

Not my type of stocks. Got burned too many time playing Vancouver years ago.
    Check out RVC.V (No position)

That's an interesting one! What are you waiting for? BTW, of the three that I mentioned, two are producing and profitable mines. That's really what I prefer to get into. Have another look at Great Panther though. It's listed on the TSX and in NY. $3.40 the last I recall and I'm expecting something like $6.00 by the end of the year even if silver doesn't go nuts. Production is expanding, the resource is expanding and it gets more profitable with every move that silver makes. Prophecy is an interesting story too. Mongolian coal mine that has just gone into production for the Chinese market, second mine on the way along with their own coal-fired power plant to produce electricity for a country starving for it. An absolute steal at current price IMO. Thanks for your tip!

        Probably a breakout.
These show up on my scans evey so often.
I'm just looking for chart patterns.
Like I said I don't usually play the juniors. I concentrate on stocks trading over $20. Burned too many times with the pennies. Lost opportunity is better than lost dollars.

          NUS on the TSE:
          Nautilus Minerals Inc
Is the first company to commercially explore the seafloor for massive sulphide systems, a potential source of high grade copper, gold, zinc and silver.

The world's first seafloor copper-gold project, Solwara 1, is under development in Papua New Guinea. The project will mark the launch of this new deep water seafloor resource production industry.

The Company plans to grow its tenement licences and exploration applications in the exclusive economic zones and territorial waters of Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Tonga, the Solomon Islands and New Zealand both regionally and across the world.

Nautilus has among its cornerstone shareholders three of the world's largest resource companies. Teck Cominco Limited, Anglo American PLC and Barrick Gold Corporation as significant shareholders and its alliances and technical partnerships position it as the world leader in deep water exploration and development of minerals systems

These guys seem to have a pocket full of cash but that disappears quite quickly in the exploration business.

          High Risk!!!

Here's hoping that everyone on this Board is carrying some silver stocks in their portfolio. If you're interested, check out a couple of good & solid Canadian juniors that are also traded in New York, First Majestic and Great Panther. First Majestic up about 13% in the last two days, Great Panther up 27%. The outlook looks good for silver this year for a number of reasons. Demand is growing both as a precious metal and for industrial uses, supply is relatively tight, the historic trading ratio between gold and silver is stretched and most investors are still not into precious metals so demand can increase substantially for these stocks in the coming months. There are bound to be ups and downs but, in my opinion, you can't afford not to be in silver in some way.

The Stansberry Research guys highly recommends gold and silver as well. It makes sense when you the Chinese are getting rid of their US dollars and buying gold as well. That's a real scary thought of what could happen if the US dollar is replaced as the world's reserve currency. Sh#t will hit the fan. I did pick up some SLV and SVM this past week.

Just noticed that First Majestic and Great Panther are numbers one and two on the Barchart Top 100. Here's to hoping that this week brings some much-needed healing to our planet and it's people.

Here's an interesting one - Western Copper, listed as WRN in Toronto and New York. Off it's high due to the Japanese news but working back up again. If you're looking for a quick 15-20% this could be a no-brainer in my opinion.

Western Copper now up 20% since my last post. Resources at the Casino project have been expanded and it is now a world class mine in the making. CIBC target is $7.50, current price is $4.13. A good one to have a look at.

                      Edward,
I don't hold any copper or silver stocks right now but I have a bunch of the real thing, especially copper. I noticed the other day one of the silver stocks, maybe an ETF mentioned on MSNBC seemed to be always a dollar below current silver spot price. Never did any further research on it. Silver currently about 40.21/oz.

Can a person with an online U.S. broker trade TSX stocks without much red tape? When I had a Scottrade account it worked but that was several years ago.

Being a Canadian myself, it's difficult to say how easy it is for someone in the US to trade TSX stocks. I have a good friend in NY state who tells me that it is hit and miss as to what he can access. One angle though is to look for Canadian resource stocks that are also listed in the US. First Majestic, Great Panther, Western Copper are some that come to mind. Timmins Gold on the TSX will be listed in NY soon as well and should get a good boost in share price as a result.

                              Intertainment Media

Came across this one today - Intertainment Media, INT on the Venture exchange. The main product is an application that allows translation of emails, twitter, facebook, etc between people of different languages. It's being downloaded around the world in increasingly huge numbers and could become a really big deal in the social media scene. Gene Simmons is actually involved in this company if that means anything to you. Of course, there is lots of talk that this $1.29 stock will be $5.00 by Christmas. Just throwin' it out there - the rest is up to you!
