    Subscription-based stock rating services

I’d be interested in knowing what subscription-based stock rating services the Mr. Market community is using and whether they feel they are getting value for the money they spend?

I pay for a yearly subscription to stockcharts.com and feel that the $20 per month is worth the convenience of having the charts I want at my fingertips.

I had a subscription to eIBD that expired when my credit card expiry date rolled over. It was nice to have but I don’t miss it much. It’s a little tougher to check Mr. Market picks without the composite rating but I can access the EPS rating for free.

I have access to Investview through my broker but the data is very suspicious. Not something I would rely on.

I see other services out there that range in price from +$2000 a year to $100 per year.

Any comments or review of the services you use would be appreciated.

I subscribe to IBD. Read it about 5 minutes a day while I take a dump at work.

For the past 3 months I subscribed to Dan Fitzpatrick, www.stockmentor.com. He has a free daily chart also. He is great at reading charts and Cramer apparently relies on him for technicals. BUT almost NONE of the watch list stocks he discussed as possible chart buys went green. He talks a lot about risk-reward but I would have been stopped out on nearly every one. For $79.95 per month it was a good way to lose fast money (which I didn't, thank God). Also, the sub gives you access to his open forum and you can pick up plays there. But it's a big price for what you actually get, IMHO. So I unsubscribed last week.

The only others I currently subscribe to are stockcharts.com and stocktiming.com (the fabulous early warning system for the general market conditions and market chart predictions, institutional buying & selling and what's happening with the vital liquidity flowing into or out of the market. This one has kept me really out of trouble since mid-May).

What's a good source for earnings information. I have been using briefing.com
however, I think they now charge for information. I need past earning 4 or 8 quarters back.
Do I need to pay for service, and if so which service is reasonable and good.

          Any help appreciated.

          Thank You
          Dan

I access Reuters Through Finvis; Theres a link right at the bottom of a stock quote page.
Click on financials for quarterly earningsa. It's hit and miss. Somestimes they show up and sometimes not.

The same info is available in Google finance. Bring up a stock quote and scroll down. On the right hand side there is a link under Key Stats and ratios to more ratios from Thomson Reuters.

Hope this is what your looking for.

                    Sites

I use Investools, as it was an add-on to the TD Ameritrade platform. Some useful industry charts/financial, and rankings, all available at a one-click convenience, but you still have to dig around for things. No big forums with active trade advice though, just a lot of data readily available and organized. Last I recall it runs about 20-30/mo.

I use this site here to scoop up some good ideas, and have been enjoying
