    Dr. Copper

Sept 2011... Copper goes from $4+ to $3.3 and going lower

Copper is telling the world about the upcoming economic stress... give it about 3-5 months, and then we'll see the FED revise their outlook to negative growth.

I cashed all the copper, about 700 lbs., I had been saving in over the past month or so. It went for $3 a lb. which I thought was a fair price. Does that sound fair to you. I still have about 150 lbs. left but it has to be cleaned up and stripped. Should I sell it off as quickly as I can if the price is going to drop?

If it isn't costing you any needed space and you are not tying up money in it, then I would hold onto it... copper will rebound eventually. When the economy shows signs of improving or war is on the horizon, then Copper will be higher.

Copper's 3 year moving average began trending lower at the end of Sept, and looks weak. These trend changes are big news and portend poorer worldwide economic conditions.

European activity will continue to worsen. A new government in Greece and Italy will not change anything. The Germans and French must be big enough to shoulder the rest of Europe. What happens when they shrug?
