Wednesday 2/27/13 Triple Play

Gezzzzzzzzz it really shot up huge but I feel this INOC horse is not ready for the glue factory yet!
One pundit says INOC could "Possibly" have 50 - 90% GAINS over the next few quarters.......Who knows? but if today's huge rise is any indication .......that claim may be not too far fetched!

1 or 2 more goodies coming tonite....one Health Care Medical Stock has EPS Q/Q 336% and EPS Next Year 600% , but the stock has issues.

"Help ! I've fallen in a pile of sh#*, but come out smelling like a rose". I didn't know about the DDD stock split and sold 70 shares on the 19th. But "shareholders of record on Feb. 15th receive 1 share for every 2 shares they hold" so I get 35 shares and didn't sell for the 9.20% loss in the best of 2013 portfolio.

-------------Also CODI has been one of my favorite buy and holds as I first bought in Aug 2012 and added on dips in Oct.Nov.Dec. Am reinvesting divs . It's really adding up as the 9.28% compounds. CODI , owner of 8 different businesses has been ranked #1 or #2 by the dividend channel among diversified companies for a year.

Correction, I'm screwed. Broker tells me that although web site said "shareholders as of record day (Feb. 15th) get the free shares, actually you must have held on ex. div. day so I get nothing except a 9.20% loss.

Stock dividends and cash dividends are treated differently. Here is the SEC explanation:

"Sometimes a company pays a dividend in the form of stock rather than cash. The stock dividend may be additional shares in the company or in a subsidiary being spun off. The procedures for stock dividends may be different from cash dividends. The ex-dividend date is set the first business day after the stock dividend is paid (and is also after the record date).

If you sell your stock before the ex-dividend date, you also are selling away your right to the stock dividend. Your sale includes an obligation to deliver any shares acquired as a result of the dividend to the buyer of your shares, since the seller will receive an I.O.U. or "due bill" from his or her broker for the additional shares. Folks what is the Piotroski score? Basically it is a numerical system for rating stocks , and is just one tool we can use in an arsenal for picking great stocks.
The Piotroski system is best explained here.
