    Cobr

This little number was brought to my attention earlier this morning on the IBD forums. This is what was posted about it on the Poormans Corner II thread, "chart is very interesting.. broke out of long base at around $4.10 then spiked up middle of November and has since shown a Pennant formation down to around 4.50 , but looks to have broken a downtrend line here... Product announced at CES looks interesting (speed radar attached to Iphone) .. sales look to be picking up over the last year"

Definitely a speculative stock but shows promise. I bought some this AM at $4.70.

I like the weekly and the monthly charts. The weekly is a decent cup base and handle formation that looks like you caught it just at the right time. not a deep cup base but uniform and a good six months duration. Almost a double bottom base which would even be better. nice play, good luck with it. I'm going to take a look at it myself tomorrow as the monthly still has it making it's right side of the cup and still plenty of room for the upside.
I used to be good friends with the Poorman years ago when I had a subscription to IBD. Poorman was an older gentleman at that time and is this still the same person. I see that it is Poormans Corner 11 which leads me to believe that it may be someone else. Would you know if it is still the same original guy. He was a great stock picker and somewhat of a mentor to alot of people some of which are still here including myself.

I am not sure if it is the same Poorman but I think it may be. I followed him years ago when I was investing alot. His insight and ideas were very good.

COBR is not actual Poorman pick but suggested by someone on his thread. I love the chart and the fundamentals are improving. Volume is the big problem with being on the low end. As said it is speculative but if it catches some wind it could make some huge moves.

Same guy...The reason that it says 2 is because he posted so much at IBD that the thread got full...His name is Bruce Brotnov...I have not posted at IBD Forums since 8/4/04 for reasons we won't go into here...altho I periodically post at Marketsmith Forums...I don't see him there tho...I met him thru the predecessor to my chat...at Reed Floren's old chat. Bruce has his own chat and a site http://poormans.com/

He was featured once on the old IBD Smart Investor column...Then he posted a copy of the article and IBD went after him demanding he pay $1200 for the right to post the copyrighted article about himself...I know he wasn't happy but unlike me he was too nice to tell them to go screw themselves.

He also donated a sub to his site as one of the prizes I gave away when I ran a contest here at Mr. M years ago...He's a very nice guy.

          Doug,
Glad to hear that he is still alive and posting. I used to talk with him thru emails frequently and have lost touch with him over the course of time. He was and is a true gentleman and a great stock picker. I learned alot from his strategies. I'm going to look him up again. Its been years since I spoke to him last. I havent heard that name, Reed Floren, in a long time either. We're a couple of dinosaures being that we go back what seems to be a long way.

I met he and his wife, his brother-in-law and some other IBD posters at the Money Show in Vegas. It was one of 2004, 2005 or 2006. Can't keep track anymore. Posted on his site for a few months and then got too busy and slipped my mind. Great people! Wonderful to hear he's still around!

Like watching paint dry. Way too illiquid for me.
