    Show Your Cards

I thought it might be fun and educational to show all our hands. Which stocks we currently own and at which price we purchased. I figure this could give us ideas on what is out there and could fuel some great discussion on what we have and why we have it.

    I'll go first:

TWER - purchased at $4.41 - Reminder for me not to hold through earnings.

    CTSH - short at 59.92

    BIG - short at 35.97

The Old Dog is sitting in cash.

I’m primarily a long trader. Not that I’m afraid to play the short side but Canadian tax law makes it unfavorable to take shorts.

We will see how the next rally goes and I might jump into the short side with some bear ETFs.

TNH - bought at 67 back in 2007 and been reinvesting the dividends.
AGNC - 28.34 this year and plan on reinvesting the dividends for the long term.

Everything else is cash and gold.

        x

        Right now I have:

TZA, FAZ and SOXS all long - These inverse funds work well in bear markets ... like now

AGNC - have a few hundred shares left. Sold most of my shares in my IRA account this past week.... but looking to buy back ( scale in ) about 3 to 5K shares a few weeks before the X-div date.

When the market bottoms out, looking to buy UA and MNST

I've been a full time swing trader for 14 years.

          I'm playing 2 hands. Here's the one I'll show.

          PM from 42.66

          AAPL " " 192.15

          NJR " " 32.87 and 31.78

          HQL " " 7.56 and 9.61

          FCZA " " 4.18 and 4.59

4 of the above pay dividends

My other hand might be good or I may be bluffing.

Just covered my short on BIG.

Been burned going into earning too many times.

                    How's every one doing??

The Old dog is still sitting mainly in cash.
Started a position in TC and am underwater about 7%.

Over all effect on the portfolio is less than 1%.

Anyone else want to admit how badly they got beat up in May?

Still sitting on TWER - waiting for good news and profits to take this one higher.

Covered my postions in CTSH yesterday. Made a quick 5%. I thought the market would bounce up today rather than crash and burn.

Still holding my short on XRT. Doing well today.

                      Looking for some new positions.
