    More Seeking Alpha articles.

Identifying Stocks That May Double Within A Year
    January 15, 2013

includes: ATADF.PK, AUY, AXU, BAC, JMBA, MNKD, MS

"Bottom line: With such strong tailwinds, the market looks good for now - very good, in fact. And it's possible that we could see a big rally at the beginning of the summer. You know, when the politicians go on vacation and out of the spotlight"

---Karim Rahemtulla, Investment Director at The Wall Street Daily Insider, after the close of the market on Friday January 11,2013

FWIW: There are both bashers and boosters on Seeking Alpha. It doesn't take long to distinguish between them and the true blue intelligencia who tell it like it is and are proven to be trustworthy. 'Ya just gotta read between the lines (and the bios) for the possible ulterior motives. I have a healthy skepticism of it all, but find it helpful anyway. Especially read the Comments on the articles and all becomes quite clear quite quickly.

Mimo, I think we trust sites that give us information that proves to be true. In the case of Cramer he gives his opinion on everything and often he is 100% wrong. There are many investing services that also have a real bad track record and every so often one that seems legit.

Ah, the joy of stocks. One of my picks in this thread, ATRS, was panned by Jim Kramer in his lightning round (said their area was very competitive and people should stay away). I figured gosh, a small stock panned on national TV, look out below. Well, as I write, ATRS is up $.01 on the day. But my other pick, CORT, down 5% today.

Just my thoughts but Seeking Alpha is not (I feel) a publication to trust for anything long term. Short term? I'll bet we see GRPN take a plunge now just like they are now saying it deserves.

Bottom line: Seeking Alpha is NOT an unbiased source of information. That much I stand by.

I don't know who this guy is, just did a quick search on seeking alpha and market manipulation. But.... I'm not alone in my observations of Seeking Alpha and their very biased articles.

Right on, Large Person. If one has one or more specialized interests (in music, I mean) methinks it's well worth the money.

Some people love them. I've used them alot in the past and have seen a repeated pump and dump by a few analyst. Really bad ones, too. Pumping the stock right up until the day before a dramatic dump. They pumped ONVO big time. Several gold and other PM stocks pumped shamelessly as well. I feel comfortable saying that you must watch for manipulation with them. As for PM stocks, NEVER trust a guy named Marco. NEVER!

My brother has it - I do not -he only listens to the Elvis channel (channel 19 I believe). Sounds relatively expensive to me if you are only going to listen to one channel.
