I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Mr. Market, BKJ is just too thinly traded, CFNL and FLT are blah. That leaves DORM, not bad but I've never heard of them, and RMD. I've had a resmed CPAP machine for sleep apnea for several years, it needs replaced, it's too loud, is outdated, but it always runs even without me putting in a filter. All the baby boomers are getting old and most will have sleep apnea sooner or later. I'll bet the Huge One snores loader than a lion. I see billions in future sales next 10 years and the nickel and dime extras, filters, tubing, masks, a gold mine.
I feel Mr. Markets model will choose FLT due to it being in IBD's top 50, along with it's strong earnings. I like RMD's lovely div,HUGE earnings, & Zacks rate it a buy. RMD has reached an all time high however, Mr. Market seems to always buy them when they hit high. If there's any hope in correcting the "Snore" I'm in!
Blessings for a HUGE 2013!
Risky
Something about DORM being debt free keeps grabbing my attention too.
The fact that Ford is quickly becoming a darling for 2013 keeps me in this sector and while we just sold LAD why not replace it with DORM? But diversification is not the focus here and making 15% is.
So after all of that I may look at buying FLT, RMD and DORM on dips. They all look good!
CFNL? Maybe if I step back into financials, but as a Mortgage Broker I tend to shy away from investing in any Banks after dealing with some real dingbats in my industry and truly cannot separate that from the companys stock performance.
What will THE HUGE ONE pick?
DORM has great potential for a funny write up, but FLT is my guess.
Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone had tracked the performance of the entire top 5 selection group rather than just the one pick Mr. Market ultimately chooses. It seems like if all the stocks meet the screen criteria they could all be worthy candidates. I'm sure there are many worse portfolios to have than a set of Mr. Market top 5's.
The reason I ask is that this Mr. Market top 5 group led me to purchase FLT Jan 7th at $55.36. As of right this minute the stock has shot up on earnings report and is currently trading at $67.00, which is a gain of almost 21%!
This is not the first time that I bought a top 5 pick that was not the final selection Mr. Market made, and found it to be profitable. So I was just curious if anyone had ever looked at the full top 5's performance. And no, I don't have time to do it and I doubt most of you guys do either...LOL.
Thanks for doing the top 5's, Mr. Market...lots of good stuff to consider in those stocks!
