    Traders Beware

Thought we needed a new thread for us to post warnings about stock manipulations and trading practices that are misleading and possibly even illegal. This one came to my attention this morning. We all know about front-running, but this is a pretty blatant example IMHO.

Posted this on "Two-Baggers" a few days ago. See also billyjoe's response there. Please add your own experiences here so they don't get lost in the other threads.

The latest SA post on VRNG by "Modernist" who is a VRNG basher, has the most honest "Additional Disclosure" I have ever beheld! (Buyer beware) "Additional disclosure: The disclosures made are minimal and readers should assume writers have conflicts of some sort." WOW

I would like to add a caution against using the word "fraud". Warnings, suspicions, etc. are OK I think.

Heh. Anytime I see a "news" item from Seeking Alpha, I skip right over it.

Here are some of the biggest stock scams ever. Luckily the guilty are all locked up as far as I know. http://www.investopedia.com/articles...#axzz2L6W9xQI4

Has anyone here ever bought this stuff that wasn't a distributor? They claim billions in retail sales.

Heh, I actually had money in Tyco back then. But since it was a small portion of my portfolio, it didn't really hurt me.

Well Karel...You have no idea who or what I know...Nothing about the case at hand...But my big mouth got me in a legal entanglement on 8/4/04 which I was anxious to deal with...Nothing I wasn't prepared for but my Dad called me that day when I was just leaving for a vacation and said "Doug...I have one thing to ask you...Keep your big mouth shut till I die...After that you can say anything you want"...For him I said "OK"...But when he died in April 2011 I had sorta lost my interest in exposing Wall St. crooks...But if I ever get the urge again...Don't worry...I won't expose them here at your forum.
