    What to Expect?

I'm posting these as questions to anyone on the board.

What can someone expect to see in terms of gains($$$) over a period of six to nine years in the stock market? Specifically someone trying to invest ala MrMarket style.

Can we hope to double our initial investment over that time? If we are consistently adding $3,000 from work to our account each month, what can compounded gains give us over the same 6 to 9 year period?

Look back at the historical returns of the market for these periods..take slices of 6 or 9 years every year, then draw a bell curve.

      Sweet

It's funny how sometimes you find exactly what you're looking for. While searching for the statistics to draw my bell curve, I found them along with a few more golden nuggets of market data and investment wisdom. There will be plenty of market homework for me in the weeks ahead.

Sharing is ______. And Random Thoughts

I found some data and other blogs/websites that I might not want to advertise here without permission.
There is no magic formula to investing that will make you rich overnight. Many people lose money in the markets and trading, so what can we do differently? Money should gravitate towards us if we display the right characteristics. For me those include patience, hard work, humility and being decisive enough to take action at all costs.
It's incredible how your dreams really can come true if you just start chasing them... There's more to life than the markets, trading, and sitting in front of a computer running stock scans and looking at charts for 20 hours a day. Be back later tonight and happy day to everyone.
