    Institutional Ownership

    Hello All,

Is ther any web site (preferably free) where I can find change in institutional holding for a given stock over period of time?

    Is my interpretation:

Lower institutional holding for undervalued stock could be a good thing compared to higher institutional holding.

    correct?

    Thanks

stocks54, I use ThomsonFN for that kind of info. It's free also.

Thomson Reuters empowers professionals with cutting-edge technology solutions informed by industry-leading content and expertise.

Here's the link for it. Good luck.

    Regards, Norm

      Thanks thebign1,

I still could not find what I was looking for. Let me explain in detail what I am looking for:

For example if I am trying to find how inst. holding for a stock changed over a period of time.

Any idea How can I get that information.

      Regards,

        Try: http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor...tomstocks.asp?

You can screen for rising or lowering institutional % over different period of times. Also you can screen for % holdings.

Hope this helps. Sounds like a good idea. I will play around with the screens to see what I get.

I agree that for small caps in particular, low but increasing institutional holdings might be optimum. This means that the only possible institutional activity would be to buy. I have occasionally considered adding such a criteria to my screen. For example, LENS (learn from our mistakes) shows as of last quarter 63.5% institutional ownership.

At MSN, you can screen for institutional ownership current percentage, or for changes. At nasdaq.com or MSN or many other sites, you can find current ownership and change over the last quarter. At thomson, you can find current alleged interest. I have found nowhere what you're looking for, which I understand to be institutional ownership in % by quarter over some period of time, like while the company has been public. One would be interested in overlaying a stock price and volume chart with this data.

Please let us know if you find a source for what you're looking for.

                Thanks

Thanks everyone for sharing the information. This weekend I will devote some hours to see if I can find a site that shows the change in institutional holding for a given security over a period of time.

                Regards,
