Billy...pure genius. Though I never double down (except when I have a hard 12 against a dealer 6)

Except when I eat the 10 that would have broke your hand.

tortuga would prefer the dealer to eat the 10. Tortuga write new mastercard commercial:

Making 15% on a stock, piece of cake. Doubling down on a 12 against a 6...priceless

Yea..but when you pull a 4 and the dealer gets a 10, it's crazy. You run around and dry hump the pole.

If you chart MA over 3 years, there is significant volume in the 73-77 area, providing some support. Volume was below average as of 2:43 pm ET today. There have been a couple of news stories that cast a negative shadow over MA recently. Below is one from today.

Putin Calls for Creation of National Banking Payment System

Putin Calls for Creation of National Banking Payment System

                By Alexander Kolyandr

MOSCOW--President Vladimir Putin on Thursday called for the creation of a national payment system, after two major international payment systems cut ties with a number of Russian banks after U.S. sanctions were imposed over the annexation of Crimea.

Citing the example of the national payment systems in Japan and China, Mr. Putin said: "Why do we not do this? This definitely should be done, and we will do this."

Speaking to the members of the upper house of parliament he noted that the Japanese system, which started as a national one, now operates in 200 countries.

Russian officials have for years discussed this idea citing possible threats to the national banking system, but it is the first time the move has received the President's support.

International payment systems VISA Inc. and MasterCard Inc. Friday cut off Russian Bank Rossiya, which had been mentioned in the U.S. sanctions, and three more banks, directly connected to Rossiya, or people on the sanctions list. Both Visa and MasterCard resumed services with two banks during the weekend, but are still not servicing clients of Rossiya and its subsidiary Sobinbank.

The holders of these banks' cards can't pay for goods and services using their cards, but can use them to withdraw cash from the bank's ATMs or ATMs of other Russian banks serviced by the United Payment Service, a national network which unifies dozens of banks.
Mr. Putin said he regrets the payment systems' decision. "This will simply lead to them losing certain segments of the market, quite a profitable one," he said.

Here you can see V and MA nearly mirror images of each other over last 6 months. I doubt they're going to collapse. May be time to buy more.

MA coming on strong. Prices hovering around 75 won't last much longer. http://www.fool.com/investing/genera...p-even-hi.aspx Just put in an order for 74.90. Only need 10 cents more. Got it at 2 P.M.

I'm up 2% now. MA will now return to its expected course looking at chart history.

MA is on an inexorable climb to 100. I mean just look at that chart:

There is no way to stop this MAssive juggernaut. The 15% is guaranteed. Only question is why to even sell at 100? This one's bound to hit 200 and even more at some point.

Find out if (MA) is in Cramer's Portfolio.

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- TheStreet's Jim Cramer, co-manager of the Action Alerts PLUS portfolio, said on CNBC's "Cramer's Stop Trading" segment that fears over the Russian economy were exaggerated.
A Pacific Crest report suggests the same thing, he added.
Stocks like Visa (V_) and Mastercard (MA_) "should be up much more right now," he reasoned.

Both stocks were knocked lower following what would usually be considered good earningsreports. However, fears over Russian exposure kept investors out of the stocks.
The actual business for Visa and Mastercard was "really fabulous" in the previous earnings reports, Cramer concluded, adding that both stocks are "ripe to buy and will go much higher."
