What news sites do you use?

Just curious if any of you have good recommendations or staples that you use for stock news sites.

I find Yahoo finance to be pretty good for general information. Scottrade is nice for charts. Fool.com is good for overall commentary.

    Any others?

If you want fast news, you can't beat www.knobias.com. Click Retail Investor, then scroll to bottom and input call sign for free news and such. Subscription is of course nice, but the free part is good also.

          Bloomberg columnists and Vic Niederhoffer

I used to read Vic Niederhoffer's column faithfully at MSN MoneyCentral (The Speculator column, now discontinued). Vic now has his own website called Practical Speculation, which is also the name of his latest book. Vic is numbers-oriented guy who comes at the markets from his own angle.

I also like to read John Dorfman on the "columnists" page at Bloomberg.com. He is a value-oriented guy who runs money in Boston. You should also read Caroline Baum's columns at Bloomberg, she will make you think.

With investing it is better to focus on understanding the basics first, then read the news second.

I use www.bigcharts.com only for after hours charting, Ameritrade for my dailys, and yahoo and cbs marketwatch for my news. Bloomberg is good sometimes as well.
