Well so far everything is fine - I just found out that my old Dell AIO Color printer will not work with a 64-bit machine - so I am off to find a new one - I think I can find a good one for under $100 at OfficeMax - they have quite a selection of printers - problem is the cost of the cartridge. I will let you know.

I bought an HP Google Chromebook for $299 (less discounts and gift cards, etc. = $140). It doesn't support my older printer either. But my current Dell PC with Vista does, so I'm still okay. Have read reviews where people don't like 8.0/8.1 because it's more like mobile phone in format. Hope it works well for you though! With your great experience in the field you shouldn't have a problem. Can't wait to hear more of your experiences with it.

OK, I bought a Canon Pixma MG3522 wireless All In One printer (copy, scan print) and I just finished installing and printing on both computers. I do not do much printing so I went with a cheaper model. $64 including $5.00 for an extended 2-year warranty. I checked PC Magazine and a few other places and they all seem to like the Canon products.

I am getting used to 8.1 - I finally found the control panel! Also, My Computer is now This PC. Interesting.
