Apparently, its causing the stock to tank. Bummer.
But I agree: Katia is high on the 'not ugly' list. Wish I was the same.
This is definitely a 'high volatility play. But something is not right here: How can this stock have a beta of 1.3 http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=BFR and bank of america have a beta of 1.4? http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=bac+Key+Statistics It seems to me the beta here should be closer to 0 as the news does not affect the market overall very much but this stock a lot.

Not sure. My limited understanding of beta is that it reflects how volatile a stock is compared to the overall market or a fund (like the S&P500). So, those numbers are saying BOA is 40% more volatile than the market while BFR is around 30% more volatile. A beta of zero would mean the stock's movement is completely independent of the market. No idea how they calculate that number... But i could see why all banks have a beta of greater than 1 because they are intricately tied to businesses that can have good times n' bad.
I'm not sure why this news (Argentina's debt) is impacting the price of BFR. I don't get the relationship. What does this bank have to do with a country's debt problems?
