I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. Phoenix, 10 stocks like last year before trading starts next year. Big difference is we can sell with a 10% stop on any stock and also every 3 months , but we can also hold for the year. We missed some great gains in 2014 not being able to sell when certain industries started tanking.
Mr.Market, It's not really a competition. Just trying to pick 10 stocks we think will do well in 2015. I'm starting the 1st trading day of the year since I can easily track YTD performance that way. I didn't plan it this way but 9 of my 10 picks are in your Shale dump. Maybe my criteria is similar to yours.

Billy thanx for tabulating results ........Long Term Picks are difficult for all of us ......but I will give it the old college try!
I will have my 10 picks for tomorrow.
CNC CY EA GTIM LOCK MACK PPC SWIR SWKS TRUE I stayed away from precious metals and oil .........ALTHOUGH they may come back strong in 2015. We must be honest and simply say that any pick submitted is at best an educated guess! NO ONE can predict the future!
16. BA -2.55%
17. AVAV-6.49
18. OEH symbol changed to BEL -18.13 down from the start a 10% stop would have helped
19. YNDX -58.38 same as above
20. MDR -68.23% could have also rid ourselves of this early in the year
In the cases of BA, BEL, YNDX, and MDR they were bad from the start and didn't get better. AVAV negatively turned 10%. NVAX made a dramatic 23% turn from negative to positive. UTX, a 6% positive swing, and MA an 11% improvement. The other 12 stayed positive nearly all year.
It's a good thing there's no rule that we can't have some of the same picks. Mine are :
BWLD--planning big expansion, checked their site and was surprised CEO , CFO and at least 3 other officers are women, they know what they are doing. I worked in a chicken restaurant in 1968 and we threw out the wings after they accumulated to overflowing in the freezer. Who would eat them let alone pay $1 a pound wholesale?
DIS--- millions of youngsters know all the words to the Frozen songs with more to follow
MA---just getting up to steam will have EMV chips in all cards in the near future
AAPL--apple pay is all I'll say
RH----New retail formula--forget malls and shopping centers--https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fCNrpF-XiE
BABA--just getting started rumor is they will buy out E-Bay
FB----oculus rift founder Palmer Luckey age 22 sells to facebook at a bargain price of 2 billion, new Steven Jobs are waiting in the wings https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcuA2Etx9Ak
CNC--HMO for uninsured ,under insured, supplemental Govt. Subsidized healthcare
ODFL--Truck transportation of goods #1
FDX---Listed as #1 or 2 in airfreight . Wait for next quarter profits.
