At the encouragement of P7, I am starting this new thread - The MrMarket Best Songs of All Time.

Anyone can nominate up to three songs, and then we will vote on the best 10. Post your nominations here along with a link to the YouTube page containing the song. I will post the end date for your nominations soon.

Here is the white version of "frogman" Norman "hurricane" Smith . Engineered several early Beatles albums. Also worked with Pink Floyd and was a drummer on some of their early songs.

He is excellent, I have one of his cds. He does a slower version of this tune which is great.

Here's my first pick. Saw them in 1972. Best concert ever. Steve Howe played more than 10 different stringed instruments in that concert. Rick Wakeman on keyboards also no slouch, and
Jon Anderson's unusual voice one of the great frontmen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6cMU8-AaEU. This is over 30 years after I saw them!

Holy crap billy, that triggered some serious flashbacks for me..lol.
Yes was one bands that made the 70's incredibly enjoyable (they started in late 60's but really got creative attention in the 70's). I remember seeing them doing shows in the round which was just getting cool back then too.

I have seen >1000 live concerts in my life (no exaggeration), and 3 songs of all time is tough for me and will need to give this a lot of thought!

Mr.Market, John Eddie is good, but can he sing like my daughter's next door neighbor,
                          Clay Kirchenbauer? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvR2TfOZz78

As tiedyed1 (Adam) said "...3 songs of all time is tough for me and will need to give this a lot of thought!"

I have decided to change the contest to your favorite 5. For those who have already posted songs, feel free to select up to 5. Please include the name of the song and the artist along with your youtube link.

Easy trivia question - What famous band had a one-armed drummer?
