My first pick is Anacor Pharmaceuticals (ANAC).

Sunk my teeth in it at 64 yesterday and am already up 5%

Welcome Moolah and can't wait to see your picks! Regarding ANAC...love the chart....can't say I love the financial statement, but that doesn't mean the stock won't keep going up. Good luck!!

Moolah, ANAC is one strange stock. One of the best charts I've seen. Some of the worst fundies I've ever seen. P/Sales, P/Book, Debt short and long term, ROA, ROE, ROI, terrible, terrible, terrible. Insider sales way up there. EPS Q/Q not good, EPS this year, really bad. Yet, ANAC is way up in price. It's mentioned as a potential takeover candidate. Keep posting these interesting stocks and take those profits when you can.

Moolah, first off congratulations and thank you for participating and sharing your ideas here. I truly appreciate it (and hopefully will motivate others lurking in the wings)!

ANAC is indeed purely a trend/momentum play which for me is not the way I am (fundamentally) wired, but I definitely see the play.

I am not sure how much further this momentum can last however, as it seems like all the catalysts are out there (i.e. buyout candidate, novel proprietary intellectual property for an alternative to carbon base molecular science, etc, etc). If Boron based molecular biotech proves to be the golden ticket to curing the incurable then these guys will own the world. Actually, Lilly will simply buy them out. However, seeing 20M in revenue for foot fungus with a 3B market cap is way too speculative for me, and, in my opinion, can just as easily be the mother of all shorts just as easily too.

Keep them coming Moolah. I love Mr. Market and his board and all that participate.

Yep, I wouldn't bet my house on this one. But was pleased with my short term gains. Hopefully, they will be bought out!

The stock market is my drug. When I'm right on a pick, I feel like I'm on top of the world. Conversely, the losses crush me so much. This is why I love it. Always striving to refine my strategies through backtesting, research, etc.
