Long Term Stock Pick (10 Years)

I am interested in exploring long term stock picks. If you could pick a stock or two right now to hold for a minimum of 10 years which would you pick and why?

    My picks:

MA and V - global spending is not going down and these two have a lock on credit.

CSCO- due to the growth and explosion of the Internet of Things.

RENT is a company I've followed since I met one of their execs 10 years ago. They started out tracking video store rentals and have grown into a company that tracks all kinds of viewer data. Kind of boring for the average joe, but the info they gather is priceless to advertisers and media content providers. Their technology is built with modern devices and viewing habits in mind. Compare that with Nielsen audience measurements that is built on set top boxes in a sample group of homes. Which one will dominate audience measurements in the future?
Math doesn't lie, but people do.

Seriously, my dad and his buddies are doing things like using the BOSU, practicing standing on one foot, eating blueberries, walnuts, watermelon. Guess there are a bunch of pseudo-scientific things one can do.

Longevity runs in the female side of my family so I have high hopes. I lost 75 lbs. in the last 5 years, mainly because I was no longer working 80 hours a week at the law firm and the stress was off (cortisols!). YES! My maternal grandmother lived to 102. My mother 96. So far so good. I'm even older than billy, and that's sayin' something. LOL (sorry billy, just fun, but you already know that.)

              (My post #42 edited today)

People must be dropping like flies. Or there is a lot of M&A going on with the big guys making big bucks. Otherwise can't wrap my brain around this. I asked the funeral director last week and he said there are very few "mom and pop" operations left.

Billy, I asked another funeral director last weekend in Chicago. Three of them were there. They said it's the aging population, the M&A and the big boys charging "anything they want." There are still a lot of family businesses left for the big boys to expand into. They all recommended funeral services as a great long term investment in a fast-growing industry. So there we have it!
