Sometimes, you just have to let greatness speak for itself. Today I sold AMBA at 111.69. That’s a 15% gain over my purchase price of 96.96 when I bought this stock 5 days ago. That’s right. 5 days ago. Not 5 weeks, not 5 months, not 5 years. You see…average returns are for average investors. Superior returns are for superior investors, and the greatest investor of all is $$$MR. MARKET$$$.
Did you buy AMBA? Did you make 15% in 5 days? You? YOU?? YOU???!!
That’s an 1109% annual gain!! Over the same period, the S&P 500 was down 2%. Can you imagine that people who run mutual funds get paid millions of dollars just to match market returns? How absurd. $$$MR. MARKET$$$ destroys them all.
I have 57 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. So tell me…tell me…tell me. Do you like my stock picks? Would you like to receive more stock picks?
Simple…then tell me what you thought of this most recent pick. Tell me what you think of $$$MR. MARKET$$$. I need feedback to make more monies. Give me monies.

Default AMBA ==> The Reunions Winner
Because when the sun shines, we'll shine together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be your friend
Took an oath, I'ma stick it out to the end
Now that it's raining more than ever
Know that we'll still have each other
You can stand under my umbrella
You can stand under my umbrella
(Ella ella, eh eh eh)
Under my umbrella
(Ella ella, eh eh eh)
Under my umbrella

When it rains, you get an umbrella. When you need to make a video, you get Ambarella. Today I bought stock in Ambarella, Inc (AMBA) at 96.96. I will sell it in 4 to 6 weeks at 111.69. Here’s why I love AMBA.
This stock sho gone crazy. It’s up an unbelievable 262% in the last 12 months. Late to the party? Nope. Expensive? Yep. With a PE of 59, you’re certainly running with the big dogs. Having said that, like
Carvel Ice Cream, sure it’s expensive. But it’s worth it.
Ambarella, Inc. develops semiconductor processing solutions for video that enable high-definition (HD) video capture, sharing, and display worldwide. The company’s system-on-a-chip designs integrated HD video processing, image processing, audio processing, and system functions onto a single chip for delivering video and image quality, differentiated functionality, and low power consumption. Its solutions enable the creation of video content for wearable sports cameras, automotive aftermarket cameras, professional and consumer Internet Protocol (IP) security cameras, telepresence cameras, and unmanned aerial vehicles in the camera market; and manage IP video traffic, broadcast encoding and transcoding, and IP video delivery applications in the infrastructure market. The company sells its solutions to original design manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers through its direct sales force and logistics providers. Ambarella, Inc. was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Santa Clara, California.
Actually, I wanted to buy this stock before the earnings came out on Tuesday, but after getting burned by my last stock pick, I didn’t trust the market – and I didn’t have any sack. So I waited til today. So here I am overpaying for it.
AMBA is trading with a trailing 12 month P/E multiple of 59 and an estimated forward P/E multiple of 32. The stock has a PEG multiple of 2.06. P/E simply doesn’t account for the long term prospects of AMBA. This stock isn’t as expensive as it looks.
Yesterday, earnings a share came in at $0.71, beating the $0.59 that the ANAL-ysts were expecting. The company earned $0.25 during the same quarter last year. As for sales, Ambarella reported revenue of $71 million, ahead of the consensus estimate of $67.4 million and significantly ahead of last year's $41 million. That’s a 74% revenue growth. That is awesome!!! These guys make the chips for Go Pro camera and the quadcopter drones. These are two devices in their embryonic stages of consumer ownership. Watch them grow grow grow! The quadcopters are awesome. Just ask Enrique Iglesias who chopped up his fingers trying to grab one when he was giving a concert. Not his best day. Give the guy credit, he kept singing for a half hour afterwards.
The company gross profit margin, on a non-GAAP basis, was 64.8%, up from 62.7% in the prior-year period. The company had $235.2 million in cash on-hand during the quarter, up from $155.6 million during the same quarter last year. They can’t spend their money fast enough! ANAL-ysts are going to have to start adjusting their earnings upwards starting with today because these guys have beaten the ANAL-yst expectations by an average of 30% over the last 4 quarters.
The growth story is going into perpetual motion. , and it is good to see the company trying to find more uses for its camera chip business. As a leading supplier to action-camera maker GoPro, the company benefited by strong demand for GoPro's HERO line of cameras during the holiday season. Next Christmas is going to be the big seller for GoPro because they will be cheaper and better and more people will want them. That means AMBA sells a lot more chips. GoPro has a 35% contribution in Ambarella’s total revenue for the quarter. GoPro sold a total of 1.3 million units in the past quarter with revenue growing by 58% year-over-year (YoY) and gave an optimistic outlook for the current one that will end in June. GoPro announced a new product which will enable users to shoot 360-degree video that can be pieced into virtual reality segments. GoPro also will sell its own brand of personal drones next year. That’s right…what does every teenage boy in America do? They don’t go out and get drunk and try to make out with
girls. They play video games. If they can get a virtual reality video game, they will never leave their couches and we will be instinct as a species.
Ambarella’s new S2Lm ultra low-power HD camera System-On-Chip can start recording Full HD 1080p30 video in less than 500ms from wake up, and provides up to six months of battery life. With no wires to worry about, S2Lm-based cameras can be installed in places where getting to a power outlet may be difficult. The cameras can be moved around for short term monitoring, without the need to reinstall the camera after every move.
HD video is a rising tide and will be the standard for all video. The recent developments in the HD video capture quality, device size and costs have allowed video capture functionality to be incorporated into a broad range of devices. Nowadays, smartphones, tablets, wearables, IP security cameras and telepresence cameras have resulted in a boom in the demand. Here comes AMBA filling the gaps. Easy peasy.
In two years our skies will be infested with quadcopters…like locusts. Right now, Ambarella is the high-growth play in its core markets, and a play on future technology. The leading consumer quadcopter drone-maker DJI (of China) is expected to sell over $1B of product in 2015 (roughly double 2014 revenue)." The market will grow 50% in 2016.
AMBA is a small-cap stock with a market cap of just $2.9 billion. One thing boosting AMBA stock is its partnership with Google In November, it announced a partnership that centered on Google's "Helpouts" service app. "Helpouts" will let teachers, counselors, doctors, home repair specialists, personal trainers, and others to offer their paid or free expertise via real-time online video. That’s right, Google is going to use AMBA chips. You will no longer have to do an online chat with an agent. You can have an awesome video chat. For Google to select a small company like AMBA, says a lot about AMBA. Heck, Google could even buy them out for a massive premium…heh heh heh. You heard it here first. Well if not Google, how about Intel, or Qualcomm??
The guys that run the company now have a track record of selling. In 2001, they built Afara Websystems, a maker of advanced computer servers. Afara was later acquired by Sun Micro. So they did it once…they can do it again. Why wouldn’t a HUGE mega chip company want to buy a 70% growth company?
There’s a lot more to this story. AMBA also enjoys strong demand in its security camera applications. We’re talking about cops wearing cameras all of the time. You have dashboard cameras which are common in Russia but don’t exist here yet. That’s another untapped growth nutrient.
Oh..I forgot to mention the numero uno China smartphone and camera maker Xiaomi. Yup, another AMBA customer. Sales of Xiaomi’s new camera is likely to contribute significantly to the overall sales.
The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its robust revenue growth, largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures, notable return on equity, impressive record of earnings per share growth and compelling growth in net income. Sure it’s expensive, but like Carvel ice cream, it’s worth it. AMBA has no debt to speak of therefore resulting in a debt-to-equity ratio of zero, which of course is a relatively favorable sign. The net income has significantly exceeded that of the S&P 500 and the Semiconductors & Semiconductor Equipment industry. Out-year earnings are under-appreciated. Watch and see. You don’t need a Go Pro camera to see the earnings rise, like the Little Rascals Wheepwow cake.
As the discussion above shows, there is a lot of room for the company to grow its revenues as well as earnings. The fundamentals of the company will continue to grow and the stock price will continue to follow the growth in its fundamentals.
What does the boss say? Here’s a little story about their CEO, Fermi Wang. Wang served two years in the Taiwanese army after graduating college. He gets down in the weeds with his employees and knows what they are doing.
"Our strong fourth quarter and fiscal year results reflect the steady expansion of our product offerings and customer growth across our core markets, as well as early growth in new markets," said Fermi Wang, president and CEO. "During the fourth quarter we had strong year-over-year growth in our wearable, IP Security and automotive aftermarket revenues. Our revenue for the fiscal year was up 38.5% from last year, reflecting our commitment to developing leading edge technology that underpins the development of innovative video capture devices. We look forward to driving continued innovation in the year ahead."
As far as yesterday’s results go, "We enjoyed a strong first quarter with revenue up 73.5% from the same period last year”. Wang called the results “strong,” noting revenue growth from “our existing wearable, IP security and automotive video recorder camera markets,” but also “increased activity across a wide range of home monitoring cameras including models by U.S. service providers, as well as from quadcopters or flying cameras.”
Wang added “We look forward to continued success, as we enable the next generation of intelligent HD and Ultra HD cameras.”
With all of the money I make in AMBA, I might just buy me a Go Pro camera. Then you can see $$$MR. MARKET$$$ videos and I can make Cramer my girlfriend.
I am HUGE!
