    Streaks

Dare I say it, Penn beat Harvard at American football to end Harvard's unbeaten streak at 22 in a game no doubt watched closely by some of us here. Watertown (MA) beat Manchester-Essex (MA), two towns over from me, to extend Watertown's winning streak to 158 at field hockey. The game got considerable attention because Manchester plays a boy who has scored 27 goals this season. Next highest individual total on his team is 7. The Patriots extended their winning streak ... Oh, no, that's not till tonight.

I hope you're right. The Giants have me nervous.

Well, speaking of streaks, here's one that came to an abrupt and shocking end yesterday:

Holly Holm looks a lot bigger. I put my $$ on Holm at 14-1 then put my winnings on Detroit to beat Green Bay at Green Bay for first time in 24 years. Now I can retire. If you believe that, I've got some prime wetlands for sale in Northern Ohio. Seriously, if I met Holm or Rousey in a dark alley way I'd jettison my soiled underwear and run screaming like a little girl.

they each weighed in at 134. which also happens to be my weight. I too would soil myself if I had to fight either.

ya, 54 yards is a really long way to kick a ball through the goal...

Gostowski is quietly one of the best players in the NFL. The Giants blew it. Had they run the ball 3 times at the goal line, the Pats wouldn't have had enough time to kick the winning FG. Good game though.
