    American Funds?

My IRA has been with me since 1995. 72% of it is in American Funds, Growth Funds of America Class A (AGTHX). Been with Paine Webber now UBS. Any comments of suggestions on keeping it in AGTHX?

I used to sell American Funds - especially Investment Company of America, Fundamental Investors, New Perspective, and the Growth Fund of America. Capital Research manages the funds.

Scroll down to the botttom left and see what their top 20 stocks across all funds are.

Thanks for input. I am not retiring until 2033. Sit tight with it?

I'm in a similar position with GFACX... bought it some 15 years ago, one of my first mutual funds, in an IRA. Also not retiring for another 15 or 20 years at least. Yeah, I'm holding it until then, why not?

I used to have American Funds through our local credit union. Some great years and some not so hot. I rolled them into my self directed IRA and haven't regretted the decision. Never kept track of the American Funds since. At the time (1990's) they were very highly rated.
