Can Republicans Nominate Trump and Win?

With Donald Trump showing no sign of weakening in the polls what will traditional Republicans do? If they decide on a brokered convention and pick someone else, Trump will certainly go independent , therefore splitting the vote making it impossible for them to win the White House. If they do nominate Trump, he's made so many enemies, he'll lose the support of great numbers of potential voters. Trump has great numbers of those loyal to him, but even greater numbers that will never support his candidacy. I see no winning scenario for the Republican party.

        billy,

So why should the republicans waste their time in debates, a convention in Cleveland, and then more debates. No reason to go to the polls since we already know the outcome of the election - sounds pretty cut and dried to me!

Don Lemon had a pair of guests on his CNN program Tuesday to discuss Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump’s recent comments about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s loss to President Barack Obama back in the 2008 Democratic Party primary. He was hoping to have a conversation as to whether it was presidential for Trump to say, “[Clinton] was going to beat [Obama,] she was favored to win, and she got schlonged.”

One scenario is that they will draft Mitt Romney. Romney, having stayed above the fray, with large name recognition since he ran last time, and nominating a conservative to seal the deal at the convention, Rubio or Cruz for VP, either of which will bring along a large state, plus the negatives that Hilary brings gives them a real chance.

Left out Trump. If he runs he's handing the election to the Democrat (and Hilary to boot) and he will not do that.

Flash: Steve Forbes is about to appear on CNBC. Maybe they can recycle him. McCain looks better than Forbes does.
