  • GGI- Should we still hold?

The bottom fell out of GGI today....is it time to unload it, or do we keep hoping it will get back to our buy price of over $24?

What happened...did people stop getting arrested? Or does everyone have Johnnie Cochran as a lawyer now so they don't go to prison?

      Tell me what has changed...

I'm not saying I know if GGI is going to recover any time soon. What I am saying is that I see this so many times. A stock drops after someone buys it and they panic and sell it.

Guess what? A stock doesn't know how much you paid for it and neither does the rest of the market. It doesn't know if you are carrying a gain or a loss. If someone panics and sells, that means that someone is on the other side buying it.

So...what it all boils down to is GGI going to continue to grow its earnings or not? If the answer is yes, then I see no reason to sell it. If the answer is no, then it becomes a valuation question.

God gave us a brain but you still have to plug it in.

It's nice at least to have a reason that this thing is tanking. I can't find any news, but today it took a huge hit at 3x avg volume. What gives?

Well, there is no news, so the obvious reason is that currently more people want to get rid of it than there are to buy it. It dropped quite bit, since the buy, and all people with an 8% stop are getting out now for sure, reasonable or not. I hold 15 $$$Mr.Market$$$ like positions, ranging from a disastrous -37% (CBK) to +9% (FCFS), and an average of -5%. A bit too much red for my liking, but I have seen worse.

BTW: dropping all your money in just a few $$$Mr.Market$$$ stocks doesn't seem like a good idea a to me.

              Regards,

                I agree with karel.
The longer i have been on this site the longer I see the amatuer traders come forth. Mr. MArket tells you what he buys and he tells you when he buys it, people jump on the band wagon looking for the next guru. He has a incredible system and 50 in a row is great, but he invests, and sometimes that meens holding. SO if your not wanting to loose anymoney in the markets, do your own research and go sell drugs.
                ----
The markets are a big ball of emotions. The amatuers who ask when to buy and sell are the first ones out and their money goes into peoples deep pockets like MR.MArkets.
