    The Heat Wave Top 5

It was so hot I decided to go ahead and pick my top 5 stocks already....here they are:

    EPR FIZZ LOAN SIMO THO

Which one do you like? and why? I will buy one of these this week.

SIMO made it to my dump and THO almost made it. I like both of their earnings. THO has a nice product. I would pick either SIMO because of the momentum in the stock, or THO because I like the company and somewhat reasonable P/E vs the S&P. The other three also have outstanding momentum. Looks like a tough call. If you buy something at this point it's gotta be because of the momentum and without worries for the potential downside. So with that in mind I like EPR the best because it's entire stock group has momentum right now.

I already own SIMO - as you recall, it was one of the Caddyshack Top 5 (IBP PATK SHEN SIMO XRS). I made an investment decision and I took a position in both SIMO and PATK at that time.

SIMO: Good positive earnings report and guidance on 7/21. But it dropped considerably by the close on 7/22 for seemingly no reason. Watch it Monday open for a continued drop? Might be able to get this one cheaper.

SIMO is seriously oversold unless there is some news we're missing. Look for a quick 4-5% rebound from current levels back to 5 day average of 54.17. I hope it doesn't reverse before it can be bought tomorrow. Probably wait an hour to see what direction it's going.

LOAN and FIZZ look great to me. I wouldn't really want to pick up any THOR while I've got PATK already, because diversification. I'm not so sure about a Taiwanese chipmaker (SIMO). Also, I'm hesitant to go with REITs now (both EPR and LOAN) so by default FIZZ gets my vote... but $3B for Faygo and Shasta? The earnings and momentum say yes, so who am I to argue?
