Thank you, I probably will. And just remember "Illegitimi non carborundum".

      John Henry,

The comment was NOT aimed at you.

The under $10 stocks performed best was my comment - I believe that there will be less separation among winners with the over $10 rule - thus the Socialism comment. You are certainly free to run your contest any way you want - just as we are free to enter or not.

Under the category "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread", I cannot comprehend why this conversation is taking place at all. Mimo, didn't you WIN??? Why are you sounding like a .... loser?

Quite. Especially since our Benevolent Dictator In Chief picked FNHM and the BD went along with that.

              I wonder if Ernie's a Steelers fan.

Sorry...I didn't read the part about the stock price having to be greater than $10. I'll go with REN instead of FNHM

I'll go with STM long. Providing it's still over $10 at the end of Jan.

I opted out of this one last year because I thought I was too early. It's coming into its own now.

Now I'm totally confused. JohnHenry deleted from the rules the line about choices having to be over $10 yet people are acting like it's still there.

Am I correct in assuming that if we discard this line "Discard this line ========>Let us change it up and your picks must be ten dollars or greater.<======" That any pick as long as it is on one of the major exchanges is possible ........like a $1.00 stock? It could also mean any stock above 1 Penny is ok ? LOL Now that would be my ideal !

This is important stuff, Karel. This weekend American football games will be played which will decide who plays in the Super Bowl on February 5. One of the games will be played about 30 miles from me 'twixt the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania) Steelers. This is a big event here as Tom Brady, the Patriots star player, better known outside the US as the husband of supermodel Gisele Bundchen, continues the Drive For Five (championships during his tenure). The opponent is based in Pensylvania where Ernie and two of his sons attended school, so it seemed likely that Ernie might be a fan, though he lives in New Jersey which does not have a team, unless you count the two New York teams which play their home games in New Jersey.

If you've got a good penny stock.... why not play it? It's all good, cuz guys, you know it's just a game, right?

Besides, who's to say that just because a stock's only trading at $0.43 now, it won't be at $10 or so someday? Prices are all temporary and made up anyway, it's all simply what 2 traders are willing to settle on at a particular time for a trade on the future promise of a 3rd party that doesn't even know or care at all about that particular trade or those particular traders.

I'm with Karel, and am intensely enjoying this. Continue to discuss, and most importantly, come up with a great pick that'll kick this contest into high gear! (maybe even pick 2, just to be cool like Louetta)
