Methinks we have at least one marathoner here, at any rate today's race, featuring Desi Linden's victory by over four minutes, can be seen at:

Very interesting read. Amazingly bad public relations considering John Hancock is involved. They should have announced this at the post-race press conference. Did anyone really think they could NOT give those women the money?Originally posted by riverbabe View Post

You will be pleased to learn that the rule qualifying many males but only a few females for prize money in The Boston Marathon has been changed to make the genders equal.Originally posted by riverbabe View Post
Well maybe you'll be pleased. In fact what they have done in not to enfranchise more women but instead to disenfranchise many men. Now for both genders only those who start in the top groups will qualify for prize money.

I enjoyed it. Nice to see Jacob Riley qualify who I believe is unsponsored. Good for Abdi at age 43. Nice to see the ascendancy of Seidel. Would have been nice to see Desiree Linden get there but then Kipyego has to lose out.

Yes, he was, still, he made it this far and even top his personal best from his previous performances. Hoping to see more of Jacob Riley soon, man's really made a major comeback from his last performance way back 2016.Originally posted by Louetta View PostI enjoyed it. The NCAA cancelled all remaining winter championships (track was to begin tomorrow in New Mexico) and also all the spring championships. I attend a lot of local college events in the spring. Doubt there will be much. Harvard is attending classes via internet and leaving campus, possibly other schools have too. If you're not on campus you can't practice and therefore can't play, I would think.
