AACE Getting Bought for $30

It's a nice premium over yesterday's trading but may force the Huge One into his first losing trade ever. I know it's not your fault, Your Hugeness, but the market and our bank accounts don't care who's fault it is. Nobody's perfect. The Huge One's stock picks are as close to perfect as humanly possible.

JLL gets antitrust OK for Ace Cash Express deal

WASHINGTON, June 26 (Reuters) - Private equity group JLL Partners has received U.S. antitrust approval to acquire Ace Cash Express Inc. <AACE.O>, the largest U.S. operator of check-cashing stores, U.S. officials said on Monday.

Antitrust authorities have completed their review of the $420 million deal without taking any action to block it, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission said in a notice.

Earlier this month, Dallas-based Ace said its board approved the deal and recommended it to shareholders. Ace operates 1,557 stores in 36 states and the District of Columbia that provide check-cashing, short-term consumer loans, bill payment and prepaid debit-card services.
