Pick of The Year 2019 Contest

Do we want to play this year? Many stocks are 40 to 80 percent off their 52 week high - Maybe not a good idea to short. But what do I know - Nothing.

If we are going to play again. I will post the rules on a new thread. Thanks

Shorting what I went long would have been an excellent strategy the past few years.

I’ll probably join in this year, although I don’t claim to be good at picking that “one stock” that is going to hit in a given year. As my posts show, I prefer day/swing trading and a long term diversified portfolio. I will say this. My intuition (which, when coupled with a $5 bill will get you a Venti at Starbucks) tells me that 2019 is going to be a good year to be long. I am starting to believe (hope?) that this bear market has just about run its course, although there is still no confirmation of this in the technicals. Feel free to nerf bat me at the end of 2019 if I am way off on this, and ... uh ... I would prefer very much that you not use a real bat.
