update on the dividend. Someone told me that it is a special dividend therefore on the day it is issued the stock will drop by that same amount, so NET you will not make anything... can anyone confirm this?

Yes it will drop the amount of the dividend,depending upon entry,money can be made.

Buying before the dividend,and riding the run-up,then selling before the ex-date can make some money.

The dividend is priced in already from what I can see,anyone holding from early this year is sitting pretty,otherwise Id be careful.

I have some questions on Fib. Retracements, I'm looking at a daily chart of KCS. I think it was correct to enter at the 61.8 % retracement (KCS1.jpg). But then should I have sold since it didn't take out the 38.2 retracement on the short side?? (KCS2.jpg). And where is this thing heading now??

My problem is how do I set targets?

I noticed you have your fib retrace inverted on the second image,looks like a good entry to me.

I would like to know how you got your image situation figured out?I tried the posted instructions,and it didnt work.

Also to Spike,I recall a while ago,that CCI was an indicator you used to check if price action was following through.Do you still look at it?

When u post your reply, (not quick), there is a section on the bottom called "manage attachments" just upload the pics of the charts (which can be captured using "prntscn" key on keyboard). That's it. Let me know if you need some help.

Spike if I could post a chart of PVX,I think it would show a lower channel long,with a upper $10 target before the next distribution.

Limit for this filetype is 97.7 KB. - when you're taking the screen capture hold ALT+PRNSCN, it will only catch the window, not the whole screen. Then you paste it into word or paint and trim it - it will make it smaller.

Spike...I know you are more of a technician than I...but I am short term bearish...I have 3 days to analyze...but I don't see these O/S conditions as letting up soon. Maybe brief bounces???

BTW...When you turn Bullish...what time frame are you usually looking at? I rarely look past a few days to a week myself...at least in the past year...Thx
