I have 22 consecutive profitable trades of 15% or better. How is this possible? Every day there are hundreds of stocks setting new highs, no matter what happens in the overall market. Many of these stocks are still at very reasonable valuations. Afraid of buying stocks at their highs? Think of it this way: a new high is really a future floor for companies with solid financial underpinnings. Quantitative momentum modeling makes it easy to identify stocks that can continue this upward momentum trend. Why does this happen? It's really very simple..ask me about what investors and cows have in common. I am $$$ MR. MARKET $$$. I AM HUGE!!! Bring me your finest meats and cheeses. You can join in on the fun. spikefader, could you draw your version of a channel for CMN? Here's what I have though I'm not sure about that since I'm new to that. Looks like it violated the upper channel.
I agree. It's been riding that upper channel for a while, which is why I cut my gains short.

Sure.
Weekly first. Clearly a bullish chart.
I'll do a daily now.
Thanks Spike! I was originally talking about the violation of upper channel by CMN as a sell signal. Makes me confused now since you suggest holding it till it nears a pink line on the weekly chart and blue on a daily one.
Well, DHB took off after it hit my sell stop...why am I not suprised??
Sorry to hear that, and I'm frustrated too. The channel long just didn't work last week.
But don't get too excited about DHB. Looking at the weekly chart, there is now an expansion of the channel - so that is a warning longs, and had I not been stopped out I would be targetting the declining minor daily upper channel currently 9.56.
That channel will be a shorting opportunity and resistance. Why? The expanding weekly, the recent gap down in mid march and the unimpressive volume. You don't really want to be long this stock unless you nailed a great entry down there and have very little to risk. Why would you hold it if you were long? Potential gap fill back there, but other than that, DHB now has to do a lot of work to motive me. ce la vis !
Oh oh, its not done yet... Is this another double top possibility?
Yes, you can either take the 16.40 short now or wait for HOD test, and take it there. I would recommend 16.40 now, since 16.63 price resistance has held, and it's failing now.
EDIT: this chart is one I took about 15 mins ago.

"REJECTED CR1: Currently, there are no shares of FORD available for shorting."
